The ads man, its too much. How in debt are we lol?

Why do streaming apps think people will listen to commercials if they’re 10x louder than the show?? Get bent.

There are so many flipping ads! If you go forward or back bc you missed something or need to rewatch a part of your show it’s going to show another (extra set) 6-8 ads. 11 ad breaks in the 1 hour show I’m currently watching! 6-8 ads per ad break. 2-3 minutes of ads per break. That’s 20-30 minutes of ads per 1 hour show. Even more if you need to back up or move forward. So I needed up watching almost 35 minutes of ads. It’s absolutely ridiculous!!!!! Makes me not want to watch anything on MTV. When the ads play I usually use that time as a potty or snack break, use my phone (scroll insta). So IM NOT PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO THESE ADS! Useless, pointless, annoying, excessive, irritating….

We get it, that’s how it’s funded or whatever but I literally just waited 10 minutes to start watching a show with all of the ads. It’s a little ridiculous.. a little behind the times here. End of a show, 3 minutes, start of a show 3 minutes, after the intro to the show 3 minutes.. I don’t need to watch the show that bad.

Why can’t I watch the current season of The Challege, season 39, on any of the 5 streaming apps that I have? Every other app I have, yes you have to watch shows the next day. That’s fine. I specifically added Paramount, to watch The Challenge. Oh, you can watch season 1-38. Not 39. It’s stupid. I’ve had it. Seems like it’s only MTV and WeTv. Are they related? Zero stars…at least say upfront you can’t watch new content.

Why do I have to watch 10 minutes of ads before the show even starts. Then you can even minimize the screen while the commercials are playing. This should be implemented. I’ve submitted reports before and they said MTV is free but I pay for cable so how is it free!

This app will not work to smartcast! I watch catfish cast it by the time the first wave of 5 min commercials is over the video goes to not available or not available anymore. I reload it for it to show me yet ANOTHER 5 min of commercials and it happens multiple times in an episode it’s ridiculous.

The fact that so many people have given the same exact review and nothing is being done to fix the ad problem is infuriating. Like everyone else… I watch 6 minutes of ads for 2 minutes of content.. they play ads just for you to watch credits after and realize the episodes already over which is pointless!! The cherry on top is if I try to AirPlay from my phone it conveniently says the video isn’t available? Trash.

With terrible buffering, repetitive ads, and a 40 minute ad load per hour there are almost no redeeming qualities about the MTV app. Trying to cast to another device makes things unwatchable with the stream breaking any time ads need to load.
