MUBI: Stream Great Cinema

The films have gotten worse and the plan to double the price without notification is the nastiest business practise. I will definitely cancel when my term ends. The films are just not good enough nor is the cost.

When signing up for Mubi through the app, my finger slipped and I mistyped my email address. I clicked “done” before I noticed the mistake, and now I’m locked out of my account. Because the app doesn’t require you to set a password, your email address is the only way you can log in (with a link or code). I emailed support about the issue a week ago, and I still haven’t heard back from an actual person. In terms of customer support and satisfaction, I give Mubi a 0/10.

Signed up to try. Once I signed up I went to the app on my Apple TV and could not sign in. Good thing it’s on sale this month for $1.00.

I also dislike that you can’t search for types or genres of film in the search. It’s only useful if you know the film you are looking for. I love Mubi, but as a UK user, it’s much better than the content in Canada. :(

We need more stories. Please keep bringing them.

The interface and app are clunky and limiting. There are limited ways to search so makes finding things frustrating and limits you to only seeing what’s at the top of the scroll. You can’t search genre or even language or country. Want to search for a Spanish language film or see which films are from Canada? Not possible!
