HOW DOES MULLVAD VPN WORK?
With Mullvad VPN, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to one of our VPN servers and then onward to the website you are visiting. In this way, websites will only see our server’s identity instead of yours. Same goes for your ISP (internet service provider); they’ll see that you’re connected to Mullvad, but not your activity.  It also means that all the third-party actors with technology integrated into the various websites you visit can’t sniff out your IP address and use it to track you from one site to another. TELEMETRY AND CRASH REPORTS
The app collects a very minimal amount of telemetry, and it does not in any way tie it to an account number, IP or other identifiable information. Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent  automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

Probably one of the best VPNs out there. Not too expensive and no need to enter personal details! However, the DAITA feature is very unstable (for me). Sometimes it just randomly disconnects or just doesn’t connect at all. Other than that, multi hop seems to work really well and the connection is super fast, as if there isn’t even a VPN turned on!

Every update features disappear. It also tends to restart every now and then. Maybe i should just use the wireguard app. I wonder when the dns filters will disappear. 

Net analyzer has vpn data at 50ish percent of all data up/dowloaded. Even with the mullvad mdm config and dns profile. Connections should be blocked as promised.  

I’ll keep subscribing because i use multiple platforms.

Mullvad needs to be refreshed regularly before it to work. If you have it on your iphone or ipad it will go offline by itself, and then only later when you log off and log in again messages will be delivered. On my Mac I have had problems loggin back in after quitting the browser. Even after finding the unique 16 digit code the app won’t recognise it and and will not log in again until the Mac is restarted.

Na het installeren bleek de verbinding uitermate traag. Het voordeel was wel dat de NOS video’s afgespeeld konden woorden hetgeen bij NordVPN en Surfshark en anderen niet kon omdat de video’s werden geblokkeerd. Bij NorthVPN waren meer problemen.
Het grote nadeel van deze app is zijn traagheid. Wanneer je daar contact over opneemt doen ze net of ze het niet niet snappen. Zeer jammer want verder werkt deze app wel goed.
Inmiddels gaat het beter, toch komt het nog regelmatig voor dat filmpjes tgv traagheid niet worden afgespeeld, het wiel blijft maar draaien.

We’ve been using Mullvad for a few years now and they have never disappointed. Their service/account structure is amongst the easiest to set up, and it’s definitely the most discreet. If you wish, you can avoid links between your account and your identity by sending them cash in an enveloppe or paying with crypto. And last but not least: Mullvad is one of the fastest VPNs out there. 

Weird thing: sometimes a connection is even faster with the VPN enabled than without 🧐
Perhaps it has something to do with ISPs regulating speeds (even in their most premium subscription tiers) and Mullvad’s VPN somehow interfering with that regulation mechanism, essentially messing it up. Too bad for the ISP, yay for us! 😁
