MusicBox: Catalog and Organize

I’ve been looking for a way to organise my music library for years - this is finally the tool I was searching for! It’s very easy to use, lets you tag and sort by genre, release date and anything else you might want. You can focus on the music and let it get on with the organisation. Just get it - you won’t be disappointed !

Musicbox is hands down one of the best music apps I’ve ever come across! First off, the one-time purchase fee is an absolute steal. In an era where everything is a monthly subscription, it’s refreshing to see an app that values simplicity and affordability without sacrificing quality. The app itself is incredibly user-friendly, with a clean and intuitive interface that works seamlessly across all my Apple devices—Mac, iPhone, and iPad. I love that I can manage my music collection on my Mac and have it instantly synced to my phone and tablet without any hassle.

For those who like to keep track of new music this is such a great app and clearly coded by someone who knows their stuff. One thing I would love to be added is Siri integration for those times when you’re on the move and a new playlist track comes on that you want to go back to. This is easy enough to do manually using the track’s share function but it would be very cool to be able to say ‘Siri, share to MusicBox’. Other than that small thing I can’t fault it and recommend it wholeheartedly. Edit: I see now Siri can add to MusicBox but only with the phone unlocked and with the app open, so nothing to gain using a voice command in that context really. It would be nice if a more practical implementation of Siri could be added but maybe that’s not possible.

Love it. Helps me keep track of all the artists, albums and genres I’d like to know more about. Love the sync and drag & drop functionality. If there was one feature I’d like to see, it’s multi-select for quickly rounding albums up into tags.

Just brought this app and it’s one of the best apps I’ve brought. It is such a way to track all your music with a lot of information. Can be used to help remember albums that I need to get. I use this along side MusicHarbor. Top app and such a cool price. Highly recommended.

I’d been trying to manage my “listen later” songs using regular playlists for a long time and it was not working. This app is exactly what I was looking for. It’s very well made and attractively designed, very easy to use (you can just send stuff straight from Apple Music via the share sheet) and runs on all Apple platforms. Really highly recommended.

It completes the iOS / iPadOS / macOS music app ecosystem. Apple Music gives us access to unlimited music. MusicHarbor helps us keep up with favourite artists and labels. MusicBox helps us “gather” everything that’s new in easy to digest collections. I could go into more detail but better writers have done reviews (MacStories). This app is a must buy for music lovers.

Love this. I love music but I often add a bunch of albums to my library and then lose track of them. This app is what I’ve needed.

MusicBox has earned a spot alongside Marvis Pro as an essential app to use with Apple Music. I love the new iOS 18 control center feature to play a random saved item.
