Aurora in Alabama
This app is the BOMB! I had just visited my niece in Fairbanks, AK in Feb 2024 and downloaded this app for the trip. I never deleted it. To my surprise, I was at home in south Alabama in May 2024 and got an alert. On a whim I went outside to check for Aurora and was absolutely astonished to see AURORA BOREALIS in Dothan, AL. That was in May. Thanks to this active solar cycle, it happened again and once more I saw Aurora Borealis in Orange Beach, AL in October 2024. The app is fantastic...highly recommend!

SUPER COOL APP I SAW THE NORTHERN LIGHTS!!!
I live in Minnesota and on Thursday on October WE WERE IN THE ORANGE PART!!! Ok I’ll show you how this works on the map grey: 1% - 9% of seeing aurora Green: 10% - 29% of seeing aurora Orange: 30% - 49% of seeing aurora Red: 50%+ of seeing aurora
Wouldn’t have seen Aurora without this app!
The only time I’ve ever seen the Northern Lights in Indiana was because of the notifications from this app. I’m beyond grateful! Awesome app!
Not very accurate for my area
This app isn’t very accurate for my area. I have missed the aurora because this app doesn’t send me notifications when it’s supposed to. Recently the I checked the app and it told me there was a low percent chance of seeing the aurora in my area. I’m glad I checked my local weather channel’s Facebook page because the aurora was clearly visible in my area. In fact I could see the aurora right outside my front door! If I had listened to this app, I would have missed it again!
