Tello is a very bare bones and simple phone service. The company is designed that way. It serves me well and I’ve never had issues except one minor app update with which they solved after calling. The flexibility of their plans is why I use Tello; in addition to, being able to buy less expensive international phones of all kinds and have them work on their service. This saves me lots of $$$ on phones that can’t be used on other services. Think about that before trying to use other carriers.

I have used Tello for a bit and it’s great to have a low cost highly customizable cell plan. The port in process was painless and fast. The eSIM QR code was easy to install and there are no connectivity issues, data speeds are just like on one of the big 3 carriers. The app is much better although there are design issues.

They say the update is better, but the reality: it's much worse! You can see only the main menu and the balance, but if you click any option in the main menu, it's not opening any new window!!!

UPDATE: Call quality service has been terrible. There is an awful static on every call now and it sounds like it is bugged. My texts are no longer working correctly. Even worse than this is I am not getting enough data to handle even simple tasks like opening apps to submit online orders or even listen to a song. I was considering adding another two more family members but I am not so sure anymore. I performed the troubleshooting steps offered to me but still having same issues.

Lots of spam and the company’s only option to help is to change your number. Of course you’ll continue to get spam on the new number. Why would you pay to receive spam texts and calls? Makes no sense.

I set up a card to auto pay this account and they charged me twice a month for two plans for just the one number. I tried to get this resolved and they did absolutely nothing to trouble shoot the issue with me and deleted my number permanently because I didn’t pay them twice this month. To be clear, they already got a payment from me this month and deleted my account because my card didn’t go through when they tried to overcharge me. I want a full refund for the stress and extra work this is causing me.

Service works well, prices are good, and app works well.

FYI when I select change plan and change my mind I find that the back button does not work

If the app can be used for receiving call and text will be much more greater. Save a SIM card slot.
