However the app freezes up constantly which totally undoes any convenience of having the app in the first place. So I’ve had to upload in batches of 1-2 docs at first. To add insult to unjury, once you upload a doc it becomes H&R Block’s property forever apparently. You can’t even VIEW what you uploaded in the app. This is creepy for one, but on a logistical point its horrendous combined with the small batches the app can only handle apparently.. like I can’t even see what I uploaded already. How short sighted and lame is this! Every point A to B process within the app is unnecessarily cumbersome and annoying. At this point it would be more convenient if I did it all by hand. I mean, I guess we can’t really expect a 4 star meal from the McDonalds drive thru of tax prep, but they definitely have enough money to make their app WORK at the very least. I’ve contacted H&R Block by email and via 3 different social media accounts explaining my situation and asking for help. Their response? Tumbleweeds blowing across a desert plain. Meaning nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Seriously, it’s Fricken unbelievable. At the end of the day, taking my taxes to an actual tax accountant isn’t more than $30-$40 more expensive. They actually help, do a lot of the heavy lifting, and I always get a WAY better refund too.
