It’s brilliant as it’s easy to understand with the icons and not over complicated with information. Clicking on each icon gives you the right amount of info need eg imported energy/exported energy and energy used. It also gives you an understanding of what energy appliances use as you can see this in real time as your energy usage jumps when you put the kettle on for example. The animated graphic really helps understand what’s going on with the energy flow! I would like a light mode, but it’s dark mode is fine. I’d also like to use the app on my local network only without the need for an internet connection. The Zappi doesn’t seem to talk to the app directly and uses the cloud in between. It makes changing settings a little slow, but it’s fine overall. Scheduling a car charge at night (when my tariff is cheaper) could be a little more intuitive. I don’t have solar/wind energy, so the eco and eco+ modes didn’t seem relevant as those modes divert solar or wind to charge the car. But to schedule charging, you have to put on eco+ mode and then set a time to “boost” the car charger. It works but I never would have figured that out without trawling the documentation. It’s a bit annoying that the date selection won’t let me scroll left and right through the data. Instead, it has rather ridged, Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, and more. It’s not very nice as I charge my car at night and I can’t see the full overnight charge history at a glance. Instead I have to look at Today, to see the morning, then swap to Yesterday to see the evening. Similar issue with this week view. On a Monday, This Week week only shows one day of data. I’d rather it was “last seven days”.
