Beschreibung

Designed by a photographer for photographers, focused on RELIABILITY and PRECISION for digital and analog photography.
• Extended sensitivity as low as -2/-4EV (dark scenes)
• Two different convenient interface designs.
• Incident and reflected light metering modes.
• Save exposure data.
• f/Tools connection.
• Independent calibration for the two metering modes.
• Independent selection of aperture, speed, ISO and exposure compensation with 1/3 resolution. From 4 hours to 1/8000 sec., aperture from 1.0 to 512 and iso from 3 to 6400.
• Automatic priority for aperture or speed. (Automatic Av and Tv modes).
• Automatic ISO or locked ISO options.
• Point metering in camera view.
• Maximum aperture limited by the selected lens.
• Calculate the average of any number of measurements you want.
• Read the exposure data of any photo from the gallery.
• Calculate hyperfocal distance for 5 memorized lenses. Which also blocks maximum aperture.
• Memory for 5 lenses with maximum aperture, focal length and film/sensor size for calculating hyperfocal distance and aperture.
• Hyperfocal distance also for infrared light. (IR button)
• Exposure value EV on an analog scale or right up front.
• On 3.5 " displays preset lens buttons tilting the device or tapping at the bottom.
• Be advised that accurate incident light reading needs a diffuser attached to the front camera. Without the diffuser still can be used but think about it, it will be a reflected reading taken with the front camera.

Readings seem close enough to my dslr meter. The spot meter uses an incredibly large area of the photo instead of a spot making that mode unusable for me. Other apps can spot meter on a far smaller area of the image. Hopefully an update to choose smaller areas to spot meter will come at some point.

Why can’t I select independent values for shutter speed and f stop and see a preview? The app seems to work like a camera on automatic settings where you can’t change one setting without it automatically adjusting the other.

Very accurate, great light meter!

I have used this app for a couple of years now with my film cameras and found it very useful. Highly recommend it. Tested it with my Canon pro DSLR (took digital photo based on reading from app) and couldn't fault it. I have several "proper" light meters but this one gets used the most 'cause it's right there in my pocket! Cheapest meter I own, and very simple/quick to use. The free version works well too, but definitely worth upgrading for the extra features. I haven't really used the "incident metering" function because I don't have a diffuser, but "reflected metering" suits me. I really like the fact that on the "Pro" screen (as opposed to the retro-looking one) you can bring up a full screen picture and see the brightness change as you move around; ie. it gives you a preview of what your photo will look like before you take the reading, very handy! Also I like the fact that you can meter off just a small patch of the picture, possibly ~10 degree spot. Exposure compensation is very handy, as is the hyperfocal info (available when you save your lens specs to the presets); I like having the ISO right up front too because I'm often using 3-4 cameras with different film emulsions and need to change it often. It really does meter to -4EV, and has proved accurate when I've used it under moonlight! Very good feature, rare even on professional (read: expensive!) meters. I've tried several other similar apps, this is my favourite. Definitely a thumbs up!!

Waste of money

I wish it worked like an EVF (electronic viewfinder) on a mirror less camera. It would be better if; When adjusting the exposure compensation to -1, the live camera view also darkens to -1 to visually represent the exposure.

Where’s 1/200? Where’s 1/25

Sorry - I can’t seem to find a support page or contact, so leaving my question here. I bought the Pro version to use with an Agfa Isolette, and I’m trying to set up a lens preset. The Isolette has the Agfa Agnar 1:4,5/85 with the shutter speeds being 1/200, 1/50, 1/25 or Bulb. The Aperture goes from f/32 to f/4.5. Setting the limits in presets I can set f/32 for the aperture, but can only set 1/250 for the shutter speed. Classic Mode - which is what I’d prefer to use, doesn’t have 200 - it goes from 125 to 250, so I have to guess in the middle somewhere, nor does it show f/4.5 - I have to guess in the middle of 5.6 and 4. Having to guess so much kind of defeats the purpose of using a light meter. So, perhaps you can tell me the best presets for my camera?

Almost perfect!

An excellent app in every respect - fun to use and with excellent accuracy and setting options - except that the ‘ISO setting’ control, presently accessible on the front of the hand meter by simply swiping your finger up or down the screen - is too easy to accidentally change without realising it. It would be better to have the ISO setting control more deeply buried in the Pro screen or in Settings. This app will be used by film photographers, and film photographers don’t change their film’s ISO very often, and certainly never in mid-roll. Think back to a real old fashioned light meter and how relatively difficult it used to be to change the ASA/ISO setting; this app should be the same! Otherwise 5 Stars!

Great App

This is really nice app to use. Gives accurate readings and has choice of interfaces that are quick and detailed. Highly recommend.

Crashes on startup

Current version crashes a lot on startup. When it works it’s a great app otherwise
