Horrible scam app
I tried to rent 3 different outside storage areas for vehicles. All three didn’t care about the size they listed, and wanted to charge per vehicle, filling the space. Truly pointless app.

I was inquiring about a space to rent for our travel trailer. I messaged the host and they responded. I asked if I could make an appointment to see the space. A pushy salesman called me trying to get me to commit to the space before knowing if it is in a safe area. He asked a lot of questions I had already provided via the app. He made me think of those scammers who call to get grandma to send $ or try to steal your identity.
Got my first 4 start review in 2 years with neighbors. Got in an argument with the customer over it. Neighbor swiftly removed me from the platform. They are a monopoly for now. Proceed with caution.
I rented a drive way for about six months, had a great connection with my host, and was very satisfied. I moved out of town a couple days ago, and told the host I’d be cancelling in a day or two. The payment date passed, and due to being so busy with the move, I cancelled a couple days after. Neighbor of course got paid for the coming month, and I figured I’d get a prorated refund. No dice. They keep the whole month’s payment, a policy markedly different from the one they use to get you hooked in the first place. Now I am paying to rent an empty drive way for the next month, and I have no use for it. I wonder if the host can immediately rent it out again, and get _two_ incomes this month?! Scam much???
I reserved a 50 sqft unit and arrived to find it only 15sqft. I'm still being charged the initial price and provider refused to honor initial agreement and simply stopped responding to me. Customer service through the neighbor app heard me out and contacted the provider on my behalf. After a long wait they told me basically tough luck, just deal with it or go somewhere else - even though you have evidence and what they are doing is wrong.
Why am I being blown up with calls, text & emails after creating a profile? Why is the verification process so painful ? Just take a photo of my ID & picture. Their scanner is horrible. Whats even more annoying is that I do not plan on renting until I return home in 2 months!! I figured I can create a profile in the mean time but now Im super turned off :-/
Gr8 idea only (my first go) I need better coordinates to “my preferred proximity” ie: around my zip code
Brady has been great! He is flexible and a good communicator! Thanks for making our transition to your RV carports so easy!
I wasn’t able to directly message my host and had to keep using the “inquire” option thru website to get a message to the host at all, even after he approved the reservation. I could see the chat, but there was no option/space for me to be able to send a message at the bottom.
I’ve been using Neighbor for a few years now and it’s helped me cover a portion of my property expenses. I recommend this to anybody that has a little extra space to rent out. everyone that’s rented from me has been really respectful. Definitely recommend this app!
