The issue is that the app is very glitchy, it keeps saying it cannot verify the info. I had to start over several times and never made it through. I imagine that a lot of other users also abandon the process because they can’t even finish setting up the account. When I originally reserved space for my vehicle, I marked it as “inoperable,” and everything seemed fine. However, when I was asked to vacate the space, I was informed that my vehicle had to be operable in order to stay there. Despite explaining the situation and trying to work with the host, I ended up being forced to tow my vehicle out. What’s worse is that I now have to pay an additional $200 in towing fees, even though the towing was only necessary because of the way Neighbor mishandled the situation. I’ve been very patient, but they’re clearly trying to distance themselves from any responsibility and avoid refunding me for this additional cost. They’ve been unprofessional, manipulative, and unwilling to take accountability for their mistake. It’s not about emotions—it’s about facts. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service is shocking. I have emailed support (only method of contact) about 6 times and it took about 5 days for a canned response that they were busy. I keep emailing but they don’t reply. So in short I am letting someone rent my garage out that was done through the app and not getting paid for it. The person who rented it is out of the country so they can’t pick it up. I needed a place to park my dually truck. I found a place on the app using my iPhone After I picked up my truck 2 months later, I was looking on the app, on my phone but saw no option to cancel, so I made sure the host knew we had concluded our business, and began the road trip portion of my trip including stops at national parks. I didn’t notice right away, but I was charged twice on my card for 2 more months. I still couldn’t find an option to cancel, so I reached out to the host and he canceled. Then I reached out to the company and was given a brush off saying if if I had read the terms of our agreement, I would know what to do. They also said to ask my host for the money back. Apparently there is a 30 day wait before the host gets paid. Also there was a difference of $42.89 per month that the company charges and is unwilling to refund to me. I feel no support from the company and not very much appreciation for being their customer.
