Target the root cause

Many people spend years cutting out foods in an effort to calm their gut - a difficult path that can miss what’s really driving symptoms. In disorders of gut–brain interaction (DGBIs), the root cause is gut–brain hypersensitivity.

After a trigger like illness, antibiotics, or prolonged stress, the nerves in the gut can become over-reactive. Even once the gut tissue heals, the nervous system may keep the alarm turned up. Normal digestion, gas, or movement are then misread as danger - leading to pain, bloating, reflux, urgency, constipation, or diarrhea.

Diets and medications can reduce symptoms temporarily, but they don’t retrain this signaling system. That’s why symptoms often return or shift over time.

If you have IBS you can’t afford not to try this app. I first used this app 2,5 years ago and followed their 6 weeks program. I was sceptic but decided to try since i have tried everything Else in order to Get some relief from my stomach pains. In those 2,5 i have been free from 90% of my symptoms. Recently i quit my nicotin habit and experienced a sudden IBS flair up. I’ve started using Nerva again (two weeks in the program) and are starting to feel progress. Highly recommend to try out the Nerva app!

I like the app and everything else. But you seriously have to shut off the voice during the 3 things you can see, hear and feel technique. The guide TALKS through the WHOLE exercise. There's no way I'm able to find 3 things I can hear at the same time as having constant talking in my ear giving me examples of what "you might hear" or what "you might expect to hear". Headphone listeners got it the first time it was said, there is no need to say this every other sentence and completely distracting us from the task. Why do you have to give examples of what you might see, feel, hear and smell in different rooms during the whole exercise? Isn't the whole point of the exercise to actually use your senses??

Like a good meditation only that I can physically feel subtle mouvements in my intestine, it’s soothing. I am now starting a treatment for my ibs and I will try to do this program one more time while I am taking different medications, most of them are natural and from herbs. The positive attitude that I get while doing these exercices will hopefully motivate both me and my physical, energetically body. Thank you.

I tried the Nerva app before this one. It has a soothing voice and great visualisation for hypnotherapy. This one is just lectures with your eyes closed. Actually ruined my sleep last night because I got so disappointed of the content. Just laying there waiting for him to get to the hypnotherapy… The voice is not very pleasent eather.

I have always struggled with constipation whilst travelling and it had been really bad all the time for the past year, without any traveling at all. Upon reflection, I think this is because my bowel habit is tied to my daily routine. No routine, well, no bowel movement!

Nerva seems to have broken this link almost from the first day and my digestion is moving fairly normally now. I am looking forward to my next vacation to test this under more challenging circumstances!

Followed the program for 6 weeks. No changes at all. Really expensive considering this is noe more than variations of the same  7 sessions of 15-20min on repeat. SoMe og the therapy sessions are strange: «imagine that you are in a 18th century pharmacy, drinking a potion». Wtf? I’d rather be in a 22nd century farmacy getting an actual treatment for IBS.
