Sono un utente di News Explorer dal 2019 e ho sempre apprezzato la qualità dell’app e le sue funzionalità, che mi hanno permesso di seguire le notizie in modo semplice e organizzato. Tuttavia, dopo l’aggiornamento alla versione 2.0, l’app è diventata molto difficile da usare con VoiceOver, compromettendo seriamente la mia esperienza. Ho contattato lo sviluppatore, il quale mi ha risposto dicendo che il problema è stato aggiunto alla lista dei bug da risolvere. Purtroppo, la risposta è stata piuttosto generica: non mi sono state fornite tempistiche né dettagli concreti sulla risoluzione. Soprattutto, non sono sicuro che egli abbia compreso appieno l’importanza della questione per chi, come me, utilizza VoiceOver per accedere ai contenuti dell’app. Non si è neanche scusato per la frustrazione che tutto questo mi sta causando. Oltre al problema già segnalato dei numerosi flick richiesti per navigare tra gli elementi (anteprima degli articoli, autore, data di pubblicazione, ecc.), specialmente nella visualizzazione timeline molti pulsanti non sono etichettati correttamente, rendendo difficile comprendere la loro funzione. Inoltre, sembra che più utilizzo l’app, più bug scopro. Ad esempio, se si sceglie la vista elenco per gli articoli, il supporto alle azioni rotore di VoiceOver è completamente sparito, rendendo difficile contrassegnare rapidamente gli articoli come letti, preferiti ecc. Tutto questo peggiora notevolmente l’esperienza, che risulta frustrante e poco pratica. Non intendo assolutamente denigrare o sminuire il lavoro dello sviluppatore, che apprezzo per l’impegno nel mantenere aggiornata l’app, il mio obiettivo è piuttosto quello di informare altri utenti non vedenti della situazione e, allo stesso tempo, sollecitarlo ad avere una maggiore attenzione verso l’accessibilità ma, soprattutto, a dare risposte decisamente più concrete agli utenti. Anche se l’app possiede tutte le migliori funzioni del mondo, l’assistenza rimane sempre un punto essenziale, specialmente con un’app a pagamento come questa.. Spero che il problema venga risolto al più presto, affinché News Explorer possa tornare a essere l’app di qualità che ho sempre amato.

Ho provato diverse app gratuite ma non sono come questa, il feed che riassume le notizie è veramente comodo e permette anche di aggiungere anche i profili preferiti di Twitter, i widget di schermata sono fatti veramente bene possono essere anche divisi in categorie, l’aggiunta dei siti è veramente semplice e immediata, app fondamentale per chi cerca un aggregatore di notizie che permetta una personalizzazione completa.

Ho provato questa applicazione quasi per caso dopo averne provate diverse altre che non mi hanno mai lasciato soddisfatto o nelle funzionalità o nella necessità di fare abbonamenti per accedere a feed rss disponibili gratuitamente. New explorer e’ una applicazione molto ben fatta facile da usare e da impostare; la possibilità di leggere anche i feed Twitter e soprattutto la capacità di scaricare in automatico e con diverse modalità le intere notizie, la modalità black per gli oled e l’interfaccia pienamente configurabile le fanno senza dubbio meritare le 5 stelle

I recently switched to this one after a decade or more with Feedly. Got fed up with Feedly's shift toward an elusive corporate market. News Explorer works great and has most of the features of Feedly. Thankfully no AI, which produced the weirdest nonsense with Feedly. Couple of things and I would be as happy as can be: * Separate view options per feed. For some feeds I just want to see the headline, for others a magazine view works best * Ability to forward newsletters to the app. This is a Feedly feature I'm sorely missing. * Streamline the viewer engines. I don't really get why there are three or so options for viewing a page.

Great app! Definitely a fresh quick and nice UI. Takes time to adjust to some things after switching from reeder. Some suggestions: 1. Allow to sync the settings. For example I like to mark as read right after I open the article. I have a few macs, and just going through the settings is a bit annoying. 2. Everything is about AI, I believe you can just get very small ML Model like llama 3.2 1b and use it to summarize the articles similar how Safari does it. Will be a great feature.

I really like News Explorer, but started exploring other options recently because I was looking for the filtering. Well, I found some other options that included this. I was super excited when News Explorer released a new version that has fantastic filtering. This really helps me refining my newsfeeds and I’ve abandoned exploring other options and double down with News Explorer. It’s an excellent News reading app and has great formatting option. The only thing that would make this better is text to voice.

Swipe controls, excellent full screen view, multiple reader modes, article view, pinch to zoom, options for everything I want to customize, I could go on. There are a couple other good news readers. I've used them. This one has all their best features and then some.
