*Asterisked features only available to Newtracs premium subscribers. An internet connection is required for the app to automatically get the latest track info synced to your device. To manage your Newtracs Premium subscription:
- You can turn off auto-renewal via the main Settings app: 
- Annual ($99.99) subscriptions come with a trial period for new users to try premium content and features for free. Subscriptions automatically renew each period after the end of the trial (where applicable) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.  Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase (unless a free trial applies, at which point it will be charged upon completion of the trial).

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.  iPads must have GPS tracking functions (iPad with Wifi+GPS) to enable location tracking and logging of trips, however a SIM card or cellular coverage is not required to utilise GPS tracking functions.  Bluetooth GPS units can be purchased to enable GPS tracking with Wifi only iPads.

Really happy with the app works well and gives you really good information. Having the colours determining the difficulty can make your day a pleasure instead of getting stuck on a track you shouldn’t have gone down. The app does its intended purpose only issue I have is a lot of tracks labeled “very difficult” you’ll go out to them and they are basically a flat road and the recent trail activities will even show they are “easy” tracks but won’t update.
This goes the other way you’ll find “medium” tracks that are absolutely insane tracks and again recent trail activity will show people rating it as a very difficult trail. I’ve seen some tracks that are blue with 7+ people saying it’s a difficult trail but it won’t update the track colour. Idk might just be me who’s upset about that but what’s the point of rating a trail if it won’t change feels like the money spent to rate trails Is pointless. Other than that good app helped me find my way around heaps!

What an amazing app. 

I’ve used it three times now and each time it has worked flawlessly. I’m new to 4WD / offroading and after using this app, my confidence to get out there is even higher. 

Connects to Apple CarPlay and is easy to follow. (I have my phone in a cradle and run both Apple Maps and Newtracs at the same time, or as Newtracs is on the car screen, I use my phone to drop pins as I drive) 

Free app is good, it will give you enough to get by, but the paid option is the way to go for full functionality. (The yearly subscription is reasonable, Newtracs, please don’t jack up the price)

Love the community based updates I can do to hopefully keep everyone up to date. 

Newtracs team, keep up the awesome work. Look forward to your future and my future of 4WD with you.

### ***** "One of the best for finding tracks."
This is the most simple way to find the closest tracks in your area. The colors are distinct and I know what everything is. Also there aren’t many apps that allow you to gauge the difficulty of these off road tracks, and you can get stuck on tracks that you underestimate if using other apps. One feature I wouldn’t mind is being able to see other users comments and reviews of the tracks, it’s a bit frustrating that there’s a good review system, but it’s only for the Newtracs team to look at.

Hey guys. Just finished doing the Canning stock route. Just an update that although the map was pretty accurate I had issues with the app cutting out constantly on the display in my vehicle. Because I was premium I couldn’t use it on my phone separately so I had to turn it off and I ended up using Hema. It had potential but was pretty limited on information especially in isolated areas

We have just spent the last 3weeks exploring the east Pilbara region of WA. The app was flawless when used offline. More than 90% of all tracks marked on other maps (paper and digital) were shown on the app. I used it in its simplest form and found it brilliant. There is heaps of features that I didn’t use. But just logging trips data was invaluable. For remote area touring it 100% gives Hema and others a run for there money! I guess the more info we as users put into it the better it will get for everyone using it.

I’ve used Newtracs since they started and although they have had their ups and downs I’ve stuck with them. I recently got a car with CarPlay and couldn’t wait to try it for our trip. The ideas of having Newtracs map on the big screen sounded awesome. BUT, the moment you plug your phone in to your car not only is CarPlay locked behind a paywall but the map ON YOUR PHONE disappears. In every way the app has the potential to be the best. But for goodness sake do I really need to pay for so many small things on the app. I’ll re download and try again on our next trip to see if there is any changes. My advice to the devs… think of the little guys just trying to enjoy a trip by using your app and maybe make free some of the necessary items. LIKE SEEING THE DAMN MAP WHEN MY PHONE IS PLUGGED IN!
