Attempted and failed for 40 mins to set up. How on earth is an elderly person going to navigate this. I’ve seen all the developer responses saying to fill in the feedback so please don’t respond to this. I’m sure it could do much more but there is little incentive for GP surgeries in Wales to make full use of it. I’m sure if their remuneration package was linked to using all of its features things would improve overnight! My English friends seem to be able to do pretty much everything on their equivalent app. They can book appointments, see test results receive appointment correspondence etc. I’m not quite sure Wales is still living in the dark ages yet again. None of that material tells you that most functionality is decided by GP practices so is absent and the central Welsh NHS provides almost nothing in the way of uses. Not sure what use case was the basis for the creation of the app but it is almost completely useless. I now have an added issue to the one listed below as in, I no longer have the email address registered. I can’t register a new mail address so I’m stuck in the 10th circle of hell with an app I can no longer use and being trapped in chronic pain and no way of getting my prescriptions into my GP surgery for repeat as they won’t take them over the phone. You should be ashamed but I doubt it I have used MHOL for 20 years, you would think they would be able to migrate your login details to the new system but NO, they want photo ID & a video confirming it’s ME. Absolutely not. The NHS cannot even get appointments sent out on time, if at all and loose notes frequently, why would I give more personal information to their APP than they deserve. I’m absolutely furious, I am ill cannot access my surgery online for repeat meds, or test results and have absolutely no way of contacting anyone for any IT support. Their HELP section stinks & sends you around the 10th circle of Hell. Should feel ashamed to leave patients like this. UPDATE;( WE ARE NOW IN AUGUST & STILL, THERE HAS BEEN NO FURTHER UPDATE FOR THOSE OF US THAT HAVE HAD NO MIGRATION OF OUR DETAILS FROM THE OLD MHOL SITE. YOU WANT OUR PICTURE ID, WHEN YOU CAN’T EVEN COMPETENTLY MIGRATE AN IT SYSTEM FOR ALL USERS, EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE FULL LOGIN DETAILS & NHS ID & THEN EXPECT US TO TRUST YOU WITH OUR SENSITIVE DATA. It is still not working. In addition, the options line at the foot of the screen doesn’t appear on my iPad in landscape mode, so making it impossible to order a prescription. As with EMIS’s MHOL, what I get from the app depends on the GP practice’s engagement with it. Nurse appointments disappeared even back in the EMIS days and the repeat prescription notes box is not, I think, always read at the practice pharmacy. None of this detracts from the app itself. You might get to log in (eventually), you might not. Roll the dice and take a punt at it see what happens… Even if you do manage to log in, it flat refuses to remember who you are and demands you log in every time!! What’s the benefit of that little nugget?? NONE WHATSOEVER!! I have to log in to MHOL every time as well but it’s a simple process and there’s no hoop jumping on the website. The app might log you in, it might send you round in a loop to have another go, and another, and another…..useless. Also, the MHOL website just works, no errors, crashes, ‘sorry, you’ll have to contact your GP’ etc etc etc. Oh and please don’t respond with the ‘please contact our support team’ trope. As this firstly assumes that you can get into the app on the first place and the support team are only as good as the tools they have to work with and given the app is just not fit to function what ‘support’ am I going to get? I’ll save you wondering …… NONE! I can log in fine, it knows who I am, my nhs number etc, but whenever I try to order a prescription, make an appointment, access health records, I get the same “sorry there is a problem” message. My GP surgery staff say that they have no training on the app and can’t help me. My wife has the same iPhone model as me, same address, landline number in the GP records - she is able to use the app. I’ve told this to the GP staff, who say that their records show that her and my details ( apart from nhs numbers and dates of birth ) are the same and can’t understand why she can use it but I can’t.
