## NHSquicker Description
This free app provides live waiting times for the emergency departments (A&E) and urgent care services in Devon and Cornwall, and parts of Somerset and Bristol. NHSquicker provides information about the healthcare services available to you based on your location, helping you to choose the right service and spend less time waiting.
 
The combined travel and waiting times estimate how long it will take you to be seen by each service. Our emergency departments are busy, and often for a minor injury, you could be seen quicker elsewhere. Please remember to always ring 999 in a life-threatening emergency.
 
You can find information about minor injuries units, emergency departments, pharmacies, dentists, opticians, sexual health and GP surgeries.
 
If you are not sure where to go, you can dial 111 and they will direct you to the most appropriate place for your needs.
 
The information feed is provided by Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust (NDHT), Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT), Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Trust (RD&E), Somerset Partnerships NHS Trust, SWASFT, Taunton & Somerset NHS Trust, Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust (TSDFT) and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust – this is correct as at January 2020.

The App has a few bugs I can’t see the travel time or leave feedback. And today I really needed the app

We’ve had to visit MIU and an and e recently. The apps shows us where best to go for less of a wait. For example my local hospital had a wait of 14 hours, but 45min drive up the road had a wait time of 2 hours.

This app has the potential to be brilliant - if it worked!
I work with elderly and vulnerable people in the community. Whenever I try to use the app to locate the nearest MIU with the quickest wait time, it always tells me to connect to WiFi, which I already am. I usually end up going to the closest one but if this app worked it would save time and pressure on an already stretched service by letting people know where the least waiting time is. I hope they can fix it otherwise it’s completely useless.

Useless. It won’t let me change my postcode. I’ve complained about this several times and nothing happens. It has often said Musgrove Park hospital is closed. This is nonsense. It’s a major hospital and is never closed

Very poor since recent update, shame as a great idea, would be better if it listed the hospitals near to your location rather than ones miles away and the layout is so hard to read and not quick to view much preferred the old design was clearer and instantly could see the wait times etc

Could not access location data, even though other apps can (iPad).  It accepted my postcode and correctly showed nearest pharmacies but did not list any of the local surgeries in Devon, only  those in Cornwall.  It did not list any dentists in Devon or Cornwall, only one in Somerset.

I look after a few elderly people and need to attend MIU sometimes. The app nearly always says “wait times unknown” for the MIUs. This means we just take pot luck and go to nearest, there could be a long wait when we could’ve gone to another one with fewer patients waiting. Not good for either my casualty or the unit we attend who can be already over burdened.

Recently had to take my daughter who sprained her wrist. The app advised my the number of patients waiting so I made a decision where to go. It’s simple, seems too simple for some who just don’t get this app is for Devon & Cornwall ONLY and covers not just A&E but other alternatives that on this occasion helped me and ensured my waiting time was reduced
