NightCap Camera

Got this app for a trip to Montana. I fiund the best setting was Star mode- ISS. Got some beautiful shots with Judy an iPhone. I didn’t fjnd the other settings very useful, regardless if setting ( I checked online for optimal and they still didn’t give results), however ISS mode is really excellent if taking pics of Milky Way

This is the best app for night sky shots and night photography. Astrophotography is best with the time lapse.

Was looking for a quick way to set up a temporary time lapse night-time security camera for our back garden, and this works pretty well. The settings are a bit confusing without reading the help, but main complaint is that the UI is often very laggy even on iPad Pro while it’s trying to capture and show you images, even when you’re not recording... would be nice to be able to stop it doing that until you’re ready. For my use case, it would also be extremely useful to be able to add a time stamp to each captured frame.

This added nothing to the existing camera function on the iPhone

Fantastic app, low light video is great, lower fps but resolution and quality is brilliant. Great adjustable options. Why apple didnt do this is just ridiculous! Great work! Highly recomended!

No good don’t download

Can’t catch the bad guys in the act (at night) without this app. I’m well pleased with video and photos by it. Next bell/whistle/improvement why not make voice activated shutter?

Terrible results! Running a brand new iPhone 15 Pro with iOS 18.0.1. I load the desired parameters and the app usually runs its own undesirable parameters with undesirable results! So far the app is undesirable…

Not allowing me to complete setting up the app. Telling me to allow access to photos, which has been done on me SE phone.

I just upgraded my phone to the Iphone 16 Pro. The app does not work - it keeps shutting off the phone. A shame as the Aurora Borealis has been outstanding the last teo nights.
