Noir - Dark Mode for Safari

Não há muito a dizer. Esta é simplesmente a melhor app do género. Só tenho pena que não haja para o Chrome, porque é absolutamente perfeita.

When Noir works, it works phenomenally and certainly saves my eyes from strain. However, fairly frequently I will visit websites on Safari that will reload several times and then completely halt with the “a problem repeatedly occured.” Fandom.com is one website I visits all the time, but it suffers from this issue, which can be frustrating

It’s unfortunate that this isn’t an integrated feature within Safari in the first place. But this app solves that problem and I don’t know how I lived so long without it.

Very nice

Just purchased the app and I felt like I had to write a review to tell the devs thank you! I have really bad photophobia/light sensitivity, especially in the evening & at night, that causes super bad headaches and makes my eyes ache and hurt. I switch anything I can to dark mode, night shift etc. I even sometimes wear these goofy light sensitivity glasses (they block specific wavelengths of light). For a long time now I was so annoyed I couldn’t change all of safari on dark mode (a few websites I could but that’s it). I found this app randomly tonight and immediately bought and downloaded it. The instructions to install it on safari were very clear and I had it up and running in just a few minutes. The app also has other colors/themes you can choose besides just black which I thought was pretty cool if someone wants to change it to sepia instead or something. Also the app itself looks really nice and I thought for what it does I would have paid more than $3 for it so I appreciate the devs for keeping it at that price. Anyways, ty to the devs for making this!!

I’m convinced that the reviews are botted. 90% of the time this doesn’t work properly. You end up getting assets in the web page that show up as white text on a white background. It just just doesn’t work well enough often enough to not be an additional headache.

I really mean that! It feels like the internet has been fixed. It’s hard to explain just how much better browsing the web feels. Like others say, you will run into the occasional site that may not work correctly, but this is typically not the fault of the Noir, but the fault of the website itself. Only takes about 6 seconds to disable on a per-site basis when it does happen, and sometimes the customization to find a theme that fits just right with a site you visit often can be fun. Also love that webpages respect dark / light mode settings in real time. Wonderful job!
