Content is good but the people we made this do not know the larger part of the world do not use Fahrenheit. It is frustrating to have to convert all the time. I didn’t find any setting to change that. Apologize if it can be set differently.
And the adaptations.
First, the collection of recipes is spectacular. I have always found what I was looking for, and then some. Second, I use this app mainly as my how-to guide propped up as I cook - to actually search and plan I use my desktop/macbook as I prefer the large format. Finally (and the reason for 4, not 5 stars) - the app does not allow any sorting, or readily allow categorizing - but I know those are updates planned by the NYT for later this year!)
I am a cookbook junkie - I love leafing through recipes and thinking about things to cook and who among my fronds and loved ones would like what. The NYTimes food app is the best of the book world and the digital world combined - it's like reading a cookbook but with all the benefits of digital - you can save the recipes you want and ignore the rest. But more important is the food itself - the recipes are sensational. It's almost as if someone created my very own meal plan of everything I love to it. Rarely has a recipe failed to impress. You also grow to know which writers are more up your alley than others - so you if its one of theirs your in safe hands indeed.

Great cooking App use it often. On the other hand Joe Kahn is awful and has ruined the NY Times.
This app doesn’t always have what I’m looking for but of the recipes I’ve tried they’ve been great. However my main complaint is the ads…if I’m paying for this app, why do I still have to deal with ads.?! Just annoying
I love this app but why am I seeing ads? For what I pay for this it should be ad free!
Every recipe is amazing. I especially like the deserts. Spelled out there for you.. hard to mess it up.
I have been using NYT Cooking for years and have learned to cook a lot of new dishes. I am always looking for new recipes from all over the world and can always find something interesting to try. I am so glad that I can finally organize my recipes in folders too!
