Nyt Games
Number Homophones? Really?
Horrid
If I could give this game zero stars, I would. Glitched and stuffed up three of my devices, not from bad internet or anything like that. Don’t stay on one game for more than ten minutes or your device WILL glitch. I can’t believe that I’m probably the only one writing a true review here!!! Don’t waste your time on this.
Diverse fun word puzzles
Great selection of word puzzles that are satisfyingly challenging. I love the ability to play the archives, and the features of the app—such as the ability to remove timers—means I can play the way i want, with low stress.
Getting worse
Recently introduced ads which are often buggy and can’t be skipped, this happened to coincide with the tech guild going on strike and reflects poorly on NYT. This experience has made the app a lot less fun
Where has the back button gone?
The back button is hidden under the Limited Time Offer banner on the Connections page.
In App Advertisements
One of the newer updates includes in app advertisements to subscribe to the NYT games. The advertise,ent blocks the back button on some games like connections. So you can’t go directly to the main menu to select another game.
Please stop pushing the subscription so aggressively it makes people want to subscribe less.
Also the dark modes are great, but please make or app wide including menu as another reciewer recommended! Cheers
Ads make it impossible to play
Thank guys, your ad blocks game features. Trying ti play stands but the hint button has been pushed of the bottom of the screen by the ad. That isn’t going to encourage me to get a subscription especially since the ad doesn’t do anything either.
Great games, makes phone hot though
I’ve seen a few people complain about this on reddit too - I have no idea what this app is doing in the background but my phone (14 pro max) heats up every single time I open it to the point where my phone gets uncomfortable to hold. There’s nothing this app should be doing that justifies that, so I’ve uninstalled it and gone back to the normal website.
