Only app worth having in DC
This is the only app that actually knows when buses are coming in DC, about down to the minute. I love this app!

i loveee this app, always helping me get to my bus ontime which is convenient for school
I've had this app for a long time, and I can say that it is so much better than the Transit app. OneBusAway gives me a lot of features to track my bus and when it's expected to arrive at my stop for free. It's really helpful for me to know the road number of a certain bus, especially that I'm a transit enthusiast and can identify most buses around the San Diego area. And I like that this app is even recommended by Metropolitan Transit System themselves.
OneBusAway has been a crucial part of my Seattle commutes for almost a decade now. It’s always been useful, but the most important part has been getting notifications and reminders for when my busses are due to arrive. But now that functionality no longer exists? Now when I select a bus from a stop, there just flat out isn’t any “Add Reminder” option. Part of the convenience of this app was being able to set those alarms and go about my day without having to check the bus stop schedules. I’ve been trying to find documentation but I haven’t been able to find anything that indicates a change to notifications. And I can’t find anything that bug report page on OBA’s website. So either this is a change that massively kills the functionality of the app. Or this is an innocent bug but with no transparent way to flag the issue for the developers. Either way, it’s frustrating.
Hard to use, outdated
I’ve been using this app for over a decade now, and I love it! Sure, it’s not the flashiest app and definitely isn’t the fanciest interface but it’s extremely functional, and once you learn the difference between scheduled/not real time buses versus the ones with live tracking data, it makes all the difference. Knowing a bus is going to be several minutes late has saved me from unnecessary sprinting on many occasions. This app is totally volunteer-run and I highly encourage those who are able to donate. It’s a really valuable public service that is not currently being provided by the local transit agencies. Kudos to everyone behind maintaining and updating this app, I can’t imagine getting around without it anymore!
It works fine on my iPhone, but doesn’t work at all on my iPad. The app opens, but shows no stops, in app navigation buttons may or may not show. Apple Maps is a better choice for the iPad.
Where the F did the alarm functionality go?! That was the best part of this app. Also recently it’s said buses hadn’t come yet that had already left the stops. What’s going on?
Love the app, but Apple Watch support would be so helpful!
Used to be a good app. Relied on it multiple times a week, several times a day. After the recent update, the estimate times are COMPLETELY off. The app is pointless if the times are wrong and you’re 30 min early or 10 min late. It’s true for all stops in 2 different transit counties. I’m about to trash it if they can’t get the estimates back to even a little bit close.
