Update Months Later: Is there any chance you can fix this? So annoying. The Google Search bar within Opera does not clear out previous search requests. When I go to search something the old search is showing which is fine, but when I "x" out the old search it keeps coming back. I have to do it 2 to 3 times before it actually clears.

How can I switch off news pages that keep popping up every so often by themselves?

I just installed Opera on my iPad and so far it works great. Blocks ads, loads fast, and doesn’t freeze up. Highly recommend.

More performant than Safari but lack of reader mode sucks. No extensions available. Sketchy security since being Chinese owned.

And don’t have the option to connect to your account and share passwords…

How can a browser not have a download feature available for pdfs and other web based documents on IOS? Completely unacceptable With a download feature this is a 4 star browser

Lacks the basic functionality of other browsers like autofill for names, emails, addresses and such. Having this feature would definitely put it on par or above other browsers

The reader does not function well. The only way to open news now for me by links is through the reader, but I’m not American. And I couldn’t find anything I wanted without hearing about the election so I turned off the politics section. I’d rather fashion… sports… literally anything else. But it never stopped the political articles. And half of the political articles were veiled hate speech which is why I shut it off in the first place. You guys need to do better. Either don’t include a company if they cannot tag their metadata correctly or turn the feature off until it’s better at blocking ai articles and bots. Literally half of the political articles were recycled garbage which looked like it was written by ai for reaction articles or pro hate anyone not like you. Sorry. I live in a world of 7,000,000,000+ people of several different cultures, different flora and fauna that will never be 100% who I am or what I am, so if I don’t wanna hear the garbage, let me turn it off so that I can read my article of how the woman sleeps with hundreds of men in a year in peace. The app itself is fine and the reason for the 4 stars. But the functions like the internal AI and the reader not turning things off when they should I do not like. I’m actually a 3.5 but they don’t allow for half stars except by averages.
