OsiriX HD ist eine DICOM-Software für iOS: DICOM ist der internationale Standard für das Speichern und Übermitteln von medizinischen Bilddaten. OsiriX HD ermöglicht das Empfangen, Betrachten und Manipulieren von Bilddaten direkt auf Ihrem iOS-Gerät. Dabei kann OsiriX HD Bilddaten von fast allen Modalitäten anzeigen (Ultraschall, Computertomographie, Kernspintomographie, Positronenemissionstomographie usw.), ohne dass diese vorher in ein anderes Format umgewandelt werden müssten. OsiriX HD ist dabei ein vollständig standardkompatibler Empfänger für DICOM-Daten im Netzwerk (WiFi/3G), es unterstützt die DICOM-Protokolle C-STORE SCP, C-MOVE SCU, C-FIND SCU, C-GET SCU und WADO.

Diese iOS-App wurde so konzipiert, dass sie vollständig in den Workflow mit PACS-Systemen, medizinischen Workstations und Modalitäten integriert werden kann. Die Netzwerk-Kommunikation kann auch verschlüsselt über die iOS-eigene VPN-Funktionalität erfolgen.

OsiriX HD bietet schnelle, interaktive Bearbeitungswerkzeuge wie Vergrößern und Verschieben, Cine-Funktionen und die Änderung von Helligkeit und Kontrast, dabei werden die Möglichkeiten des Multitouch-Bildschirms optimal ausgenutzt.

Die Möglichkeit, unterwegs in einfacher, intuitiver Weise auf DICOM-Bilder zugreifen zu können, ermöglicht neue Anwendungsgebiete für z.B. die Teleradiologie.

Die OsiriX HD App kann auch in Kombination mit anderen iOS-Apps verwendet werden: So kann es DICOM-Daten anzeigen, die per E-Mail oder über einen Download in Safari auf das Gerät geladen werden. Auch DICOM-Datensätze z.B. in einem DropBox-Ornder können in OsiriX geöffnet werden.
Zusätzlich unterstützt die App das OsiriX-URL-Schema (osirix://) zur einfachen Integration in RIS-, HIS- oder PACS-Umgebungen.

### *---- "Desktop application super, this one (for iOS) useless..."
The desktop application Osirix MD is great, but the iOS app is absolutely useless for radiologists.
I had bought the full version of the app for iOS years ago. At that time you could buy the app and not just a subscription. But suddenly it said I had to buy a subscription to use the features I had paid for by buying the app.
Always look closely at Pixmeo when it comes to licenses. If you buy the new license for the desktop app before the old license expires, the new annual license starts at the time of renewal, not when the old one expires. In addition, when renewing the license, products that one didn't select are added poorly visible to the shopping cart.

Conclusion: Desktop application great! iOS app a toy. When it comes to licenses and money, always look very carefully at Pixmeo.

It works quite well with my desktop Mac. However, the functions are few and it's not much more than a very very simple basic viewer. Quite a disappointment if you're used to the desktop version and not cheap for what it offers.
