I discovered that actually Safari extension is not needed for Paperpile to work on Mac as I can download a beautiful iPad version (using Mac on an M2 chip). You just have to add a button to allow manually adding references and attaching PDF files from the Files app. Also, I can’t set up a new account from the iPad version for some reason. TL;DR invest in creating a full-functioning iOS Paperpile application instead of a new Safari extension; it may be faster.
