## ParaPass Description
ParaPass provides a wealth of quick, straightforward resources to support your learning and CPD on the move. The app is free to download, but you will need to register with us to log in. Once you have logged in, you will need a subscription to access the content. Subscriptions are available for £3.99 per month or £39.99 per year.

All JRCALC CPD and Standby CPD customers will be given access to ParaPass as part of your existing subscription.

The app includes:
• Standby CPD: Evidence-based discussions on a wealth of anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology topics.
• Access to hundreds of multiple choice quiz questions on the JRCALC Guidelines and paramedic practice, to help you keep your knowledge sharp. Quizzes cover the full breadth of paramedic practice, from vulnerable patient groups to obstetrics to trauma.
• Case scenarios on pre-hospital practice, covering a range of topics including overdose, paediatrics, pain management, head injury and sepsis.
• Self-assessment questions, to support you in reflective practice.
• CPD certificates, so you can evidence your learning.
• Our contributors provide a breadth of experience and perspectives, working on the road, in primary care and healthcare education.
• Works offline. No signal? No problem.

Overall the app is great and really useful. However, I wonder if you’ve considered including some ECG interpretation quizzes as part of the app as I’m sure a lot of people would find it really useful.

Tried to sign in tonight but it stated it couldn’t recognise my e Mail or user name, updated app and after hour deleted the app and reinstalled it, but still stated it couldn’t recognise my email address. I could log in on my phone, but the answers wouldn’t show on the questions, went back to try and log in on my iPad, but again with no avail, not much fun when you have an assessment on ParaPass the following day.

I’m an NQP and this app is brilliant to help me before starting full time, it’s great to refresh your memory of everything in JRCALC. It includes medical conditions, drugs, pain and pretty much everything in JRCALC. Such a good app if you learn best from doing quizzes, the app lets you reference jrcalc too so you don’t need to search for a section if your answer is wrong, the app will do it for you. Recommended for students, NQP’s or anyone looking to keep up to date with their CPD and knowledge.

I’ve been a subscriber for a few years and welcome the new look and incorporation of StandbyCPD. I can’t help but miss the 100 question monthly quiz. It was challenging, took several days to complete thoroughly and the app allowed you to carry on where you left off. The variety of the topics also let you clearly identify knowledge gaps. It made the certificate at the end a prize and not just another CPD ‘participation certificate’. Please reinstate the 100 question monthly mega-quiz and the ability to complete it over several sessions.

ParaPass is effective for students to learn a broad context of trivia within the ambulance service. It allows students to enhance their knowledge on topics and treatments that are not mundane in practice. The app is easily accessible and well layed out. It is clear that the production of this app was thoroughly planned out. Making this app available to all students would be ideal in their professional stages, whether being a first year student, or 2 years post NQP. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who is considering its purchase.

This is so concise and easy to understand, all points and options are explained with such attention to detail. As someone aiming for a career in paramedicine this helps me, someone who doesn’t have much medical knowledge, get a head start and gain an understanding of approaching the scene and how to manage typical scenarios seen on a paramedic’s usual day. An easy to navigate menu.
Good functionality, as the app assists in refreshing and consolidating your underlying knowledge and teaching you something new. This via an easy-to-use menu, which contains quizzes, standby CPD and case studies. Certificates are also provided for completed elements, which can be utilised as CPD evidence. Handy if audited by the HCPC.

Absolutely fantastic app for student paramedics, I am going into 3rd year and I am able to see what I need to focus on. The quizzes are great and the standby CPD helps put it into perspective. It’s really good and I would highly recommend. 

It’s very good but I think there should be a student price it would be very helpful for their learning but it might be a bit too expensive for some. I also think there should be some more case studies, I can’t find many on there

But all in all it’s a brilliant app for learning!!
