iCloud Sync is slow and buggy and sometimes crash the iOS Paste app. And the iCloud Sync never complete for me.
I’m using this app on my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone, but the app crashes every time when I open the app on my iPhone. However I can still use the keyboard on the iPhone. It’s also not automatically copy the clipboard items into the Paste app as it is do on my Mac.
Aside from a rather rich price tag (this should be $5-10 max for the year), the reliability between devices is hit or miss. It also seems to mess with iCloud’s Universal Clipboard so I had to delete it. Maybe I’ll try it again if it improves and the price is more reasonable.
Paste provides all the features I need — save to folders, rename, edit text before pasting, and copying a list of several things to be later pasted in order (copy stack). I haven’t been able to find any other free options that come close to the features listed above along with the usability that Paste provides.
You can thank me later. Just use it and smile. Saves hours of time.
Sync doesn’t work reliably even when on same network. iOS app crashes constantly when switching keyboard to paste. Final straw was when every little feature was put behind paywall. Not subscribing to something that’ll copy/paste small pieces of texts. Greedy move.
Can’t open the app on my iPhone 11 Pro without it crashing within 5 seconds. Completely unusable.
I use this app every day on all of my devices including Mac Pro desktop. I wish there was a preference setting to at least put pins in alphabetical order or number order.
When I first downloaded this app, all I had to do was select and copy text or a link. I didn’t have to stop what I was reading and go paste it in notes. I already knew it was saved in the good old Paste app. Then, I noticed it wasn’t pasting all the time unless I opened the app every few days to wake it back up ( I always have it open in the background tho) Then.. everything stopped unless I went to the paste app where it prompted me to allow paste every single time. It’s just no longer compatible since a couple iOS updates ago. It should remember that I’ve allowed Paste to paste from safari already 5 minutes ago, but it doesn’t. Works flawlessly on Mac though
It’s like a second brain, unlimited.
