DRAW Pencil, eraser, bucket fill, line, rectangle, and ellipse tools, each with a live drag-to-size preview. Adjustable brush size up to 8×8 pixels. An eyedropper picks colors straight off the canvas. Every stroke, fill, and shape is a single undo step, so mistakes are always cheap. COLOR & PALETTES Work in full RGBA or switch a sprite to Indexed color mode, where each pixel references a palette swatch instead of storing its own color — recolor one swatch and every pixel using it updates instantly, perfect for palette swaps and keeping a sprite's colors consistent. Build custom palettes with the palette editor, or pull from a strip of recently used colors. LAYERS & SELECTION Add, delete, reorder, hide, and adjust the opacity of layers from a dedicated panel. A rectangular selection tool lets you marquee, move, copy, and paste pixels within or across layers. ANIMATION Sprites are reels of frames, not just single images. Duplicate, reorder, and delete frames from an always-visible frame strip, preview your animation looping at each frame's own duration, and use onion skinning to ghost the previous and next frame while you work. Name and color-code ranges of frames with frame tags for organizing walk cycles, attacks, or any other animation clip. REFERENCE & IMPORT Import a photo directly as a new paintable layer, automatically downsampled and quantized to your sprite's palette. Or drop a photo in as a translucent reference layer to trace over — it's never painted on and never included in exports. EXPORT, GAME-ENGINE READY Export a still PNG, an animated GIF or APNG, or a full spritesheet with a JSON metadata sidecar describing every frame's position, size, duration, and tags — using the same schema Unity, Godot, and Phaser already know how to import. Scale exports from ×1 to ×32 with a live preview before sharing. YOURS, ON YOUR DEVICE Every sprite saves automatically to your device as you work — no account, no login, and no subscription.
