## Plume Home Description
The Plume Home app brings together WiFi intelligence, security and easy management of your network and household to enhance your connectivity experience. Unlike other mesh WiFi systems, Plume automatically fine-tunes your network for peak performance—blocking interference, allocating bandwidth appropriately to all your connected devices, and prioritizing speed to live apps like video conferencing and streaming.  All managed through a single mobile app.

- Simple setup
In a matter of minutes you will be able to add all your connected devices and ensure extenders are properly placed around the home for optimal coverage. 

- Profiles and groups
Create user profiles for each member of the household to assign devices to them or even assign devices to groups like ‘light bulbs’ or ‘living room’ to easily manage them. Use profiles and device groups to set security policies, schedule Focus time, apply internet Timeouts, and optimize bandwidth with Traffic Boosts—giving you better control over online time and network performance.

- Traffic Boost
Prioritize your network how you want to. Choose to make sure specific applications, profiles, devices, or whole app categories are first in line for bandwidth. Feel confident that your video meeting, live TV stream, or gaming session has what it needs. Want Plume to handle it? Plume Home’s default Automatic Mode will prioritize any live traffic that needs it.

- Home security
Protect your devices from cyber threats like malware and phishing. No one home? Prioritize the network for security devices and applications like smart locks and cameras, and get instant alerts for any unusual activity. Use Motion to detect any movement when the home should be empty.

- Parental controls
Set predefined access profiles for kids, teens, or adults to automatically filter restricted content. Schedule Focus time to pause connectivity for specific profiles, devices, app categories, or the entire network. Need a quick break? Instantly restrict internet access from the home dashboard with a Timeout. Want to see where your bandwidth is going? See detailed usage graphs for all profiles and devices down to individual apps.

Lots of great features and simple design, but App needs some cleaning up. 

“Enter password” and “open with email” will always default to sending an email to sign in. 

There’s a glitch where “view network” will ALWAYS sign me out. 

And for devices where I’m physically closer to the router, it will still show I’m connected to my access point in the room farther away from me. 

Otherwise, lots of dropping connections even for paying for 1000mb service. Very poor service.

I used to love this app and the Plume service. One of the reasons was the notifications I received when family members left or arrived home. 

In recent weeks, inexplicably, notifications are delayed by 3 to 5 hours after the fact. This is useless when trying to keep track of family comings and goings. 

I have two tickets open with no resolution. It’s been weeks now and they’re unresponsive to follow up. It’s maddening. 

Support used to be top notch. Now they’ve outsourced overseas and like every other company that does this, the service suffers. 

If you would have asked my opinion a year ago, I would have said hands down Plume HomePass is the best. I will now tell you to look elsewhere.

I hate this app! It’s so frustrating to use, I can only set freeze schedules for ‘At home’ devices, not by person, which make that feature totally useless! It’s impossible to identify which devices are which, the interface is not intuitive, it leads you in rabbit holes, sometimes you click 3 dots, sometimes there’s a hidden ‘more info’ link, it’s impossible to retrace your steps… I could go on! Every few months I think, it would be really nice to set bedtime freezes or check how long my son’s TV has been connected, or some other basic useful thing and I waste 45 minutes, get really frustrated and give up never accomplishing anything! I HATE THIS APP!

This would be 5 starts for sure.  Easy to use. Great safety features and clarity on the network.  Overall honestly it probably is a 5 star app.  

However, there are two things that I want to call out that are needed in terms of device management, or perhaps better stated family management.  It is important in this overly digital world to be able to limit our kids WiFi time without having to manually tell them to turn stuff off.  The down time feature is great, however, it does not seem consistent.  That’s the first issue.  Often times devices do not pause when the time has been reached.  Unsure if there is a bug there.

The second thing is, in addition to the down time feature, there needs to be an ability to set a time limit for a given day (a bonus if it could be by device).  For example if I want to limit my son’s Xbox time to 3 hours per day I need the ability to set that.

Please add detailed Ethernet/link speed data when devices are connected via Ethernet.

Reason: I was having speed issues and it wasn’t until I called Plume customer support that the agent advised me that my link speed was only 10/100 out of 1000. We were able to determine that my Ethernet cable was faulty. Replaced the cable and got my Gigabit speeds!

Had this info been available in the app, I would’ve been able to better troubleshoot without calling in.
