« Hoe werkt het? » 

  Selecteer gewoon de steden, regio's of zelfs hele landen die u wilt downloaden. Het is dan beschikbaar voor offline gebruik, compleet met informatie over duizenden POI's (Points of Interest), reisgidsen en artikelen van Wikipedia.

  Om dit te doen maken we gebruik van open data van een aantal geweldige projecten:  openstreetmap.org, naturalearthdata.com, wikivoyage.org, en wikipedia.org.  Wij gebruiken een beetje magie om  het te comprimeren en verpakken in een formaat geoptimaliseerd voor mobiele apparaten. PocketEarth maakt mooie vector kaarten in real-time met behulp van onze OpenGL ES op basis van MagikEngine technologie.  Dus in tegenstelling tot andere kaart apps die alleen vooraf gerenderde beelden (kaart tegels) downloaden, zijn onze kaarten slechts een fractie van de grootte en kunt u de weergave van de kaart beter beheren met verschillende style sheets, data bronnen en kaart lagen.


Niet vergeten:
   1. Gebruik van de GPS-functies van deze app kan een aanzienlijke invloed hebben op levensduur van de batterij. Laat GPS alleen ingeschakeld wanneer u het gebruikt.
   2. Deze app maakt gebruik van gegevens van de prachtige gemeenschap gedreven open mapping project genaamd openstreetmap.org! Dekkingsdetails kunnen per regio verschillen, u kunt terecht op onze website om de details van de kaart te checken die voor uw regio van belang zijn.
   3. Biedt momenteel geen ondersteuning voor alle Aziatische teksten op de kaart (Chinees, Japans, enz.).
