Deleted after “pride” update. Forcing down ideology, even symbolically, on your users is pretty sad and only makes people more distanced to whatever cause you’re trying to stand for. 
People have different opinions, I hope leftist companies will finally understand that because your product is pretty good (that’s why I’m not giving 1 star) and there’s no need to drive people away from it because of unnecessary virtue signalling.

The app is great, always was, probably always will be, but I’ll never get over linked identifiers, search and user content. What we spend our precious time reading is even more precious to monetise. I’d rather pay heftier subscription fee for peace of mind not being turned into a profit.

The app is so bad nowadays

1. Periodically it displays empty cell instead of an article in the Saved list.
2. Removal in general doesn’t work: it deletes just some of the articles. And others still stays in database and are displayed on the web version. While they are displayed in the Archived list in the app. Basically, sync is broken.
3. There is no way to select multiple items – what a joke.
4. If you try to delete an article from the search results the whole page becomes empty.
5. The number of cases you are able to report via support is limited and the number is much less than the amount Oslo issues in the app.

I’ve been using this app intensively for years and for me it’s an absolute must have. I never write any reviews but I feel I need to comment on recent changes. Firstly, the three dots are so small that when I want to delete saved article, it often opens instead. Secondly, the app stopped remembering the place I stopped reading and when I want to get back to the article, I need to scroll from the top and try to remember what I’ve already read…

The latest (as of writing) version 8.0.7 (25529) did something to my saves that I cannot access them via web site. On the phone all saves vanish from the app after making a new save. Since then only new saves are visible in the app. I can get all saves back by reinstalling the app. Curiously the saves I make while the app is in corrupted state are visible in the app after reinstalling, too.

The last major update / redesign has broken the app in every possible way:

- app crashes upon archiving an item in the Saves view
- app badge count no longer working and not saving the state of the toggle
- saved items shown as blank lines in the Saves view until you swipe them left
- text scroll is sometimes lagging
- article rendering has become worse, showing various paragraphs in huge font
- someone has decided that it is not OK to have buttons conveniently sitting in the lower part of the screen - let’s move them to the upper-right corner, so that it is not convenient to stretch a finger all way up and use them
- app functionality hugely reduced - less fonts, no background color change option, no shortcut to open an item in an external browser
- app cache management was terrible in the previous version as well (accumulating 6GB of data), but at least there was a function to clean-up the cache from the app - now it is gone, so the app will just keep occupying more and more space

I understand very well that the app needs to monetize and that probably some of the above functionality is available in the paid version, but making the free version worse so that people pay is a so-so approach. 

From an app that was used on a daily basis for many years now it has turned into something that is barely used.

After one treat I’m development the new version removes all features:
Extra fonts,
Read out loud,
Dark mode switch
Highlighting
Usable full search text

But hey now they added the entire interface lagging
