I have used all the major podcast players and like RSS Radio the best. Plus, at $3/year, the price can’t be beat. The one thing I’ve never been able to make work is deleting old podcasts. I have to do that manually for some reason. Probably me, which is why I’m not marking off for this. But regardless, that would be a great feature to have. Try this one!! I can’t believe I don’t see more people talking about it.

A few months ago I submitted a bug report. The problem is that when taking AirPods out of your ears, every other app pauses whatever is playing, but RSSRadio will immediately resume playing. This is a huge problem if your speaker volume is turned all the way down, as the app can play through your entire playlist and delete episodes you’ve downloaded. I got a very unhelpful response and months later the issue has not been fixed. I’d love to keep using this app but I hit this bug too often.

This has to be the best podcast player in the App Store. It’s very subtle but also very feature rich!!!!!!

I have been using this app….forever? Before Apple launched their own app for sure. Tried the Apple app…came right back here, no need to try others anymore, everything I need, nothing I don’t. There is no better podcast app, period.

Has some features that the native app does not. Seems more stable and needs less user intervention. Keep up the good work!

I get my daily podcast updates without having to sync in iTunes. The fast forward & double-speed playback features are essential. I like being able to fast forward even with a locked screen! I can even open files from Google drive to take advantage of these playback features.

New user initial rating. Firstly, thanks for the app and not putting sorting options (categories) behind a paywall. Easy to add podcasts. Great feature that can add them to multiple categories; however, with that option, wish was a way to delete from one list but not the other when deleting a download. When marking an episode as played, would be great if it also deleted the download so wouldn’t have to select twice to do both. Or it could at least ask if also want to delete when marked as played. On the opposite end, when marking as unplayed, asking if also want to download. I’ve found so far that a played episode wasn’t deleted when finished despite having selected to do so. A continuous playlist option would be nice. Lastly, the X2 Playback Speed option is misleading. If you don’t have 2x selected, it only plays at 1.0; however, it seems to imply that can set a speed and it will double what you set. For example, setting to 1.7 and 2x is off, plays at 1.0 or 1.7 when on but makes one think, it would play at 1.7 when off and 3.4 when on. So max play speed is 2.5 only but you have to toggle on 2x to go above 1.0.

I could not imagine a better podcast and radio archive app! It’s seriously my favorite app. They are 1 of 1. I can listen to my favorite morning show in its entirety by pairing with dar.fm.
