Still not sure why you cannot have just one app. Overall, predict wind is good. It is not as easy as other apps though. There is some work to be done in this respect.

Predict wind maps are not clear. Overlaying on Navionics would be a huge improvement. It would enhance user experience and facilitate more accurate route planning. Is it too difficult for Predict wind software engineers to provide seamless integration that exports waypoints to a Navionics chart? Surely this level of integration is a long time overdue.
I’ve been through many apps, websites and weather channels that could get me some but never all the info in one place and especially for marine forecasts. Predict Wind has all that I was looking for. After a few months of pressure testing and validating the forecasts I’ve come to learn its accuracy in the area we sail. Because of Predict Wind it has even opened my eyes to leaning more about local seasonal phenomenons that has helped me use the abundance of information on Predict Wind much more effectively. On top of all this the developers continue to add more useful functionality like, split screen view (this month Sept 2024) that presents you with 2 streams of information at once, which was something I was always doing, flipping from one map to another. I also really like the “tables view” to look ahead in detail at a glance. And the daily briefing has become a part of my morning coffee routine to keep an eye on the weather that affects sailing not on land. Keep up the great work, this Great Lakes sailing crew thanks you!
Great app for boaters. Very accurate.
Used this app for pacific crossing, clipper route to Canada. Even had the paid subscription and it was 100% wrong on each forecast. Hopefully they can improve in the future.
Awesome app in all aspects!!!
I have found that the standard membership of Predict wind under performs even when compared to the free version. In the EC the models seem to consistently under predict wind speeds and gusts by about 4-5kts. Accuracy of the daily briefing Varys too but my biggest disappointment is in the membership pricing between standard and professional along with the sign up procedures. Last year and again this year the membership expires without warning or reminder. It doesn’t allow for change in payment method. All in, I am searching for a better more fairly priced weather app.
I live on a river near the coast and when the winds blows into the bay, it can warn me of possible tidal surge. I am living 1.5 meters above sea level.
I would highly suggest that if you’re new to sailing and you’re jumping in with both feet, this is the app for you.
I very much appreciate how this PredictWind is constantly improving. Efficient and rapid way of comparing forecasts models. Evolving into a increasingly precise tool. Essential to any serious boater.
