Was always my go to weather app (I live in Scotland and work outside and I Sail so it was a really handy thing to have I used it every day. Started to get more and more unreliable now I can’t even open the app on my phone, I have a fully updated iPhone 14 Pro don’t understand why it will not work
I just love it
Hope this app keeps up this excellence, one of the most important safety systems on our vessel.
I have used almost every weather app for marine forecasts and I swear by Predictwind. Despite the price (ouch) the ability to compare forecast models side by side or in tabular form gives a degree of confidence that models align, or don’t. There is one major flaw however. Each time Predict wind loads it requires an internet connection to re-download the forecast. This is unhelpful when internet is patchy (or expensive) - as it often is for your offshore target audience. As a work around, I video screenshot the forecast animations so I can return to it/them during the day (or offshore passage) but this is clunky and there should be a solution for forecasts to be stored on a local device whilst they remain valid (ie until the next model run for example) or until internet is next available in the event of a multi day passage. Without this I cannot give 5 stars the app has the potential to deliver.
The information is available with the free version is all I need for dinghy sailing.

I keep being asked to change my email address, despite my not asking for this. I enter my one and only email address, and what a surprise, it says "already in use". Very annoying. I am considering uninstalling, despite enjoying this app for many years.
Despite having an internet connection (and a subscription) the App is now not working and I’m simply told I need an Internet connection before I can do anything! Even Help function does not work.
Always use this app like it and easy to use
I have been using Predict Wind for so many years. It’s my go to app for weather. Dependable and faultless
