PredictWind Offshore Weather

The PredictWind Offshore App is an awesome tool for getting a passage just right whether it’s coastal or offshore and has all the tools to make confident decision making for the skipper easy. Ten out of ten, keep up the good work.

Works well but I suggest a couple of minor improvements: In departure planning mode it is not possible to focus on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th day departures while playing the timeline - it always focuses on the first one. You could always pause and go to the others but would be really nice to pick one and have the focus stay on it at any given zoom throughout the timeline. Would be great to be able to do loading on background considering that it can take hours over Iriduim Go and it would be nice to read a book or do something else during this time. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Great product overall. However there are some inconsistencies with the performance sometimes graphics do not appear. That said it is light years ahead of anything we have had before in the way of passage planning. Very happy with the product

This app is fantastic. Easy to learn, easy to use, seems to give great results. Connection to iridium go worked perfectly. Haven't tried it on a passage yet, but am very optimistic and will report back after the first passage.

PredictWind keeps making promises but they cause more problems than they can fix. Even their support bot is broken so I couldn’t get past entering my email address. The warning messages are completely covered up by the date on iPhone so the app is useless. Just like everything else they have done, broken by design and unlikely to be fixed anytime soon.

Super expensive, won’t update any maps with a basic subscription

Rated by mistake but I can’t remove it. So since I am forced to write a review, here is my one star for being so insanely expensive.

Old app offered land surfaces in full color topographic format. A great resource for off grid land explorers. Newer downgraded version shows all land surfaces in blue color, making it impossible to easily locate terrain features. Obviously, PredictWind no longer cares about serving land exploration users. Too bad.

So far, so good.
