Pro Camera by Moment

The app is great but is missing some features like choosing aspect ratios (2.39:1 please) in video.

If only I could control my Movi with this app, it would be perfect! other than that I use it on a daily basis 👌🏻

I recently picked up a Moment anamorphic lens for my iPhone 12 Pro (my iOS & apps are completely up to date). Been wanting one for a long time, so I finally made the purchase for a trip I was taking this summer. I used Moment’s Pro Camera app to shoot video and desqueeze the anamorphic while shooting because…of course- it’s their lens. I experienced several issues: • the app would frequently be unresponsive while tapping the stop button while recording. So the app just kept recording even when I kept hitting the stop button. Often, when this occurred, I’d let it keep going in case there was a delay for some reason, but it never helped. I had to quit the app to get it to stop. And whenever I did that… I completely lost all of the footage I had been recording for the last several minutes. I honestly lost several very important clips that I will never again be able to reshoot or re-experience. It’s EXTREMELY frustrating. • There are parts of video clips taken with the app where the video sorta stutters and freezes for extended periods of time while the audio keeps recording. So upon playback, the imagery eventually freezes while the audio continues. So, that renders extended durations of video footage as useless. • While shooting still photos with the app (desqueeze turned on) + anamorphic lens, the first few shots worked well, but then the app suddenly stopped de-squeezing while I was shooting. So I ended up with a bunch of photos that have severe distortion and no convenient way to desqueeze them in post unless I want to import them to a video editing app and the export screenshots at a lower resolution. Very frustrating, very disappointed. Use the app for its convenience, but only if you’re shooting something insignificant. Because, with this buggy app, you will risk losing footage and wasting time. Update: I’m on a 14 Pro now. They totally made fixes to improve on my previous issues, to Moment’s credit. Things were great for awhile too, but now the footage is suddenly remarkably shaky. WAY too shaky. The iPhone’s stabilization features used to work while using Moment’s app, but now my footage is suddenly completely unusable with the Moment anamorphic lenses because of how shaky and wobbly it all is. Even with added stabilization in post, everything looks just absolutely awful. I REALLY wish I could see how bad it was while shooting. This is so irritating I currently have a iPhone 8 Plus just bought this app not too long ago and was shooting in flat profile now I come back it’s gone and only has DEFAULT, WIDE (P3) and LOG APPLE which for some dumb odd reason when I click the Log option it doesn’t work for it me the app is acting like I’m not even clicking on it sooooo what happened????????????????

Could yall add NDI output for live production? I’d pay for that as an add on. Other NDI camera apps don’t let you modify the image or set manual. I’d be willing to beta test with yall. Caleb is a homie from way back.

Time Lapse capability is in the advertisement. How do you do it? In my iPhone 15 pro max I need the capability to do repeated long exposures(like 30 seconds) for the Perseids meteor shower. How do I do it. Thanks in advance. Martin

1. Why cant we change the square picture format to 16:9 or 4:3. I really want that. 2. We need more freedom for zooming in like a digital zoom to 15x and 2x zoom. 3. Night mode and moon more for pics like stars, planets, the solar eclipse, and the moon. 4. A very good AI enhancement for photos like android with their moon photos. Also can help with night mode. 5. More presets and custom presets.

I have been using this camera since 2020 and I have had a great experience with it. However, there is a new issue where when I record over a certain time threshold, the audio lags during playback.
