Just started using Quickbooks payments, coming over from square. Launching the app takes minutes, I took my first payment and the customer asked for a text receipt, it was just going in circles and we were awkwardly standing around for minutes waiting and just gave up in the end. Intuit is a big company and and their Quickbooks online software is just clunky far to often. Then paying a fee for ‘Instant deposit’ and rather than getting my payments instantly (like they use to do and call it ‘instant deposit’) on top of that, manually having to go into their go pay app to pay an additional big fee to get my money ‘instantly’ a second time over, only to have to wait days that customer reps can never tell you how long that exactly will be? Or, like today, the QB rep telling me it has been released to my bank so I call my bank, who does not have a history of making up excuses and ‘so surprised this is happening’, but my bank sees nothing on my account or their backend so confirm it is QB issue. Then QB urges you to use their QB checking account (so you don’t have to pay all those fees) with a shiny new card that they fail to mention is powered by GREENDOT (which is a prepaid visa most online merchants won’t accept and forget it if you try linking greendot with anything). Oh and by the way it is very easy to accidentally click yes on the pop up that will randomly show, to turn everything over to QB checking with an accidental click of a button and then takes forever to shutdown plus you have to have every single penny out of that account before it can be closed. ………trust me. Go with a different company. I ask why would I be such a glutton for punishment? I’ve been way too busy to switch to another company. Memory? Forget it. QB knows that’s a problem with a lot of small businesses. Constant withholding of your deposits. They maximize charging you fees if you have to refund the customer. I was fed up after the 6th withheld deposit, they withheld payments from 3 customers. I told them refund back the 3 customers and Ill use a different payment solution, because I was tired of fighting to get my money in my account. Instead of refunding back the cards. They instead withdrew and additional $1500 out of my business account (that was never authorized) to refund the customers instead of reversing the charges they charged the customer with. Now im out of $3000.
