Quizlet: AI-powered flashcards

I’ve been using Quizlet for a long time and was planning to subscribe, but after the last update, I lost the ability to add words to my sets because the button simply doesn’t fit on my iPhone SE screen. Instead, I only see the subscription button. I reported this issue to support, but they ignored it. Yesterday, they released another update, yet the problem remains. It feels like they prioritize pushing subscriptions over fixing basic functionality. This makes the app nearly useless for me, and I can’t recommend it to anyone with a smaller screen until they fix it.

You actualy need to pay for almost EVERYTHING - marking letters, coloring them, or underline words, its not free! Why does it cost. And when you use “learn” function maybye 5 times, you also need to pay for one more

I can’t tell that the algorithms are very good, because if you don’t know a flash card and you want to put it aside to a “need to learn folder”, you still have to agree that you know it. The system itself doesn’t give you flashcards which you can’t remember after some time, you have to go to that folder by yourself and re-learn it. In general the app does its job, you can make tests out of your created flashcards, add pictures, mark some parts and so on.

Every update features more ‘exciting’ content, like remaking free functions into making paid ones. How awesome. Instead of helping students worldwide, your company decided to make a little more cha-ching$$, because we all appreciate the corporate world. I disabled automatic updates for you because I do love seeing every damn morning a free feature getting deleted from existence.

Every update takes away free features of formerly best application for language learning. Last year small design tweaks were added, and presumably, the cost was the complete abolition of “learn” and “test” formats. It is quite disappointing to say the least. Personally for me it’s time to switch to another application
