I purchased a RaceChip for my Passat TDI. It worked okay for a week or so and then caused rough acceleration. I tried the troubleshooting solutions in their manual. Nothing worked. I ended up having to take my car to the mechanic and have a few hundred dollars of repairs. I tried to return the RaceChip but was told it was over 30 days. It is difficult to meet their 30 day policy when the device has to be shipped back to Germany.

Last update stopped the chip connecting to the app. Support takes way longer than it should whenever they are contacted for help. Improvements needed. Right now I’ve got a $650 useless piece of plastic and cables.

After 2.4.1. Bluetooth now connects but chip doesn’t activate after timer counts down. Still a useless piece of plastic for now 4 weeks.

Update 2.4.0 no longer allows user to connect to module and display mode with engine running -> so user has no idea what mode module is in.  Lack of connection while engine running also does not allow user to skip/stop timer real-time.
