This’ been a great help to ease my nerves trying to sleep, there’s also very nice variety in the options and how to control them. That said, I kind of wish there were some more themes to choose from since the sidebar has room for it. But for its cheap price you very much get what you pay for, and it does its job well. :)

TL;DR: GET THIS APP! RainyMood is an app that was way ahead of its time when it was released, and still holds up great today. You can play it alongside music or videos and you can save the perfect atmosphere whenever you like. It really is great. I only wish it had even more customisation options! 5/5 ——————————————————————— Full review: I’m writing this as a happy user of this app for seven years now! I bought this app shortly after its release and have used it pretty much every day to aid with sleep. Due to medical reasons i have struggled with terrible insomnia, and naturally i am a very light sleeper. This app has been one of my reliable tools that i use to address this, it’s super calming and helps me get to sleep, and drowns out any background noise that might wake me. It, alongside the rest of my nighttime routine, has greatly improved my sleep quality. Additionally, Rainy Mood has a wide variety of customisation options, especially for an app that has generally remained the same for about five years or so. Despite this, it is still more than suitable for use at my time of writing this in 2024 and is generally bug free! You can change the presence of different parts of the atmosphere you’re listening to to get the absolute perfect vibe you need. The app also works in the background and does not count as video/sound playing, so you can use this app alongside other apps- such as to listen to music or other ASMR/sleep aid content alongside the app! Small piece of advice If you are a person that puts your earbuds/headphones in when you sleep: keep in mind that if they disconnect that rainy mood will keep playing on your phone speakers! Very occasionally the app will pause itself or go silent (possibly a bug) but this is not a consistent result I’m able to replicate. Nonetheless, this app is amazing- try it out! I can only hope that one day the developers will show RainyMood some more love. Despite that, the app is still a firm 5/5 even to this day.

### ***** "Long time website and app user, still holds up"
I’ve been a user of the website since around 2008/9 and loved it, I downloaded the app as soon as I learned it was a thing way back when it first was available on the App Store. I’ve continued to use it ever since then. 

Great for using as white noise to sleep to especially as I suffer with tinnitus, the new additions in locations are fantastic and I hope in time more are added.

So easy to use, and there are so many different tweaks you can do to customise the sounds- birds, thunder, waves, waves, people and more can all be added and subtracted to the soundscape with a single touch of the apps slider. 
The app takes up almost no space on your phone, and I have it running in the background when I write to aid concentration. 
I expected I would use it a few times and then get bored with it- I'm quite fickle when it comes to apps and I like to try the shiny new things! 
But this app has become a firm favourite and stuck around because it's so simple to use, and really well designed. I love it!

### ***** "Rain + Music is amazing"
Love the background noise but what’s particularly awesome is being able to have the rain or surf as a background to your music. Just adds a whole new depth to experience. 

Something about the background noise over the music adds a new richness and helps me enjoy the music even more. It’s also more soothing as it occupies the whole spectrum of sounds all in one go allowing my brain to focus on the task at hand.

The one thing it needs is a master level. It’s great to be able set the balance of different sounds but I would love to be able to set the overall volume separately.

I’ve had this app for ages now and I do really love it. I just wish that when playing it would appear in my music dock area on my phone, so I can then link it to my speaker in my bedroom - as right now I can only play through my iPhone. I know I can play with music but you can’t then change the volume of the sounds and I also just like listening to the rain on its own.

Had this app for a long time now but it’s just not keeping up with the times and other apps that are free are now offering more variation of rain sounds and more customisation. 

There’s only 4 different rain sounds to choose from, of which most you can hear loop after a short time which is quite annoying (Classic is subtle rain and then loud once it loops). 

A big update with a lot more rain sounds, especially gentler, softer rain would be great in my eyes and justify it being a paid app.

Absolutely brilliant app. I struggle from being an extremely light sleeper and when I’m up, I’m up. 
This app helps drown out distant noises inside or outside the house that may wake you. Great to go to bed listening to and keep you there until your body decides to wake up. 
Unlike music with lyrics and off beat instrumentals, this is a great tool for keeping yourself isolated when need be; such as when reading or writing, this app helps drown out unnecessary background noise. Love it!

I loved the website and decided to buy the app, they’re both amazing but I love the different rain sounds on the app! It really calms my anxiety listening to it and I feel so much calmer and more focused. I listen to it when doing work, as background noise or falling asleep, it works wonders with all. I especially love that it can go behind music and I find it so cool to listen to the Beatles or queen with it! One suggestion would be that you could manage the volume on the app so it could be quieter or louder than the music; like if I wanted the rain louder than the music I could manage that on the app instead of having to use the buttons on the side.
