ReDrawn: The Tower (Adventure)

I LOVE THIS GAME!

As per a previous review I also bought this game several years ago and now had to pay again for the same game. As this developer stated the previous game was by a different developer and therefore could not/ will not reimburse those of us who have now paid twice. Basically this developer bought a ready made game, did a couple of tweaks and now charging everyone the same cost as a brand new game. 😡

It has been revamped, but still has BF copyright. I purchased the original game, but like many, can’t play it or many of the other promised ‘forever’ games. Nice that it has been updated so is playable with modern systems, but not going to RePay for something the original devs promised access to. I get that the current sellers are licensed to do this, but am still somewhat irked that it is not available without cost. It has a good set of puzzles and, good story line. It’s nice that the full game is available to those willing to pay for it (again).

Unfortunately, the app doesn’t fit properly on my iPad screen, the hint and menu options at either side cover up the tool bar so if there’s stuff on either end but not enough in the bar to trigger the scrolling on it I can’t access them.

It wasn’t a bad game but it wasn’t good. Half the time I had no idea where I was in the game or what I was supposed to do. A map would at least have been helpful. Would I play this type of game again and the answer would certainly be no. A couple of the mini games didn’t appear to work successfully and I had to hit the skip button only to see that I had been right in the first place. I do appreciate that iOS updates can be a bit daunting with games until they too are updated. I use the iPad Pro 12in screen so perhaps that might have been why the mini games didn’t work too well. For the price we pay nowadays it was a little too expensive in my opinion.

Please bring out the Zork series as well - my favourite before Drawn came out

This is how hidden object games should be created so much more interesting and enjoyable than the usual formulaic games of this type out there. I don’t normally play hidden object games anymore as I find them boring and literal blueprints of one another but this kept me intrigued and there seemed to be a lot more substance to it. I’m so glad it’s been restored as I remember enjoying it years ago, I hope developers will take note on how to make this type of game more interesting, not just copy paste.

I usually love the games from FFS but this game is so buggy that it became unplayable. Such a shame as they are usually high quality.
