You will only know the final price when you go to the agency to get the car, so there is no way you will get a refund. I rented a car in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, at 100USD via the application and it finally cost me 300USD. I presented all the documentation requested by this website but they still charged me for an additional insurance that cost 2 times the cost of the rental. How come this cost was not included in the price showed in the application? I cannot believe that there is people that do that and can sleep at night. Specifically booked a Fiat 500L (“or similar” as indicated on their site). Chose it because we needed the legroom. The car that was provided at the rental location (Hertz in this case) was a full class smaller and very crammed. We were given no choice but to take it. What’s the point of offering class types if you won’t honour the booking on the day of pickup? I was not given a reduced rate for the smaller vehicle. The best that Hertz offered was to allow me to return the car with less than a full tank of gas.
