No extra 6months added to my warentee
Add at top of the app said i could extend my 2 year warentee to add 6 months for free. I tried to update it but when I put my Amazon order number in, it said it was incorrect. I copied it from Amazon so I don’t know what I did wrong. 😑 oh well no extra 6 months warentee for me. Waste of time. Other Than that it works great.
Needs work
The app needs alot of work it dosent connect very often when on wifi i get alot of failed connections
Connectivity issue
App loses connection to early I have to keep on opening and closing the app if I move from wifi to LTE. Like when I leave the house.
Not great
When the app works it works really well and offers retrieval of clear pictures and video. However, the app rarely works well. With strong direct, wired camera the app doesn’t connect. Leaving me unable to view camera footage video or real-time view. This defeats the purpose of my reasons for having the camera. I have been unable to retrieve info even though I can sometimes see the recorded clip. Even when at home on the same network the cameras are connected to. Having to constantly unplug or take the cameras down just to reset is highly annoying and renders the camera useless as they are mounted OUTSIDE my home. When I needed them the most I couldn’t even retrieve a video which was infuriating
Almost great!
I only wish for two things with the app. Rich notifications and iPad landscape support. Five star app if those get updated.
Word in the way
Can you please remove the word REOLINK at the upper left corner of the pictures. It is in the way and it is way too big. It gets in the way of trying to view the picture.
New to Reolink - no Landscape Support for iPad?
I just purchased an Argus PT Ultra for some testing with intention to replace my Ring network of cameras.
I am shocked that the Reolink app does not support the switching between Portrait and Landcape. This is critical as I used my iPad for monitoring and it is always in Landcape mode (keyboard case).
Ring and Amcrest do this, no problem.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Mike in SoCal
Getting Worse (Almost) Everyday!!
Almost everyday the camera responsiveness gets worse (network wake-up via app)! Reolink makes toys, not security and life safety products
Really good security system
Setting up was pretty easy I first setup and upgraded the firmware on the NVR before installing the cameras. I was getting a green screen in some cameras at first but found out it was a network issue which I fixed by power cycling both router and NVR. You really have to know what your doing when it comes to port forwarding and firewalls but that I expect from a good secure security system. So if you don’t really know much about that I would assume you will have a hard time getting it running optimally. Only con I have about it is that when watching playbacks I would like to be able to scan through the footage with the slider as in frame by frame at any speed so if I move the slider with my finger I can comb throughout all the footage instead of moving the slider to a time or alert I mean keep that feature just allow to be able to watch every second at any speed other than that I get really good quality live stream and playback footage. Also to add a logging feature in the app so I can see if there are any errors or how has logged in.
Alarms detect nothing but moths
I live in a rural area and the alarms seem to be good for only picking up bugs. I tried turning down the sensitivity, but then it doesn’t pick up anything. There needs to be a alarm delay for all motion, not just people and vehicles.
