It is astonishingly hard to install a necessary font on iOS. Since an iPad with pencil is very likely used by a lot of graphic artists I am amazed about this shortcoming. Apple requests you two use third party tools to do it. I bought this one to find that when you open fonts (which works nicely) in the app and type install, a message pops up that tells you to search for a certain setting in the iOS settings that simply does not exits. I have no clue how I can actually install a font now with this app and am returning the purchase.

Version 2 ist definitiv eine Verbesserung aber immer noch bietet die App nicht mehr als andere Vertreter für iOS. Schön wäre ein Zugriff auf die RightFont-Library der Mac-Version, die ja sowieso schon im iCloud Drive liegt. So muss ich weiterhin alle Fonts doppelt vorhalten und für iOS auch immer noch im Dateisystem verwalten.

Zum Funktionsprinzip der App ist nicht viel zu sagen: sie erlaubt es, Truetype- / Opentype-Schriften über Systemprofile auf iOS-Geräten zu installieren und damit Apples Beschränkung auf dedizierte Schriftenapps umgehen. Mit Version 2 ist RightFont eindeutig die beste Art, das zu tun: saubere Oberfläche, Integration mit dem System-Dateischnittstelle, Bündelung von Schriften zu Paketen, Schriftvorschau … Herz, was willst du mehr?
