Just before I graduated I lost them all in a house fire, 3 binders full. They weren’t the rarest in the world but there were a lot that would have been worth a good amount today. But more than losing money I felt like I lost a part of myself. I was so sad that I never bought another card since. But then, 25 years later, I see this app and I downloaded it without even thinking about it. I bought a single $1 pack and it made me feel something I haven’t felt since that fire. It was awesome. I haven’t been able to stop and I’ve recruited a couple of buddies as well. I haven’t pulled anything crazy but it sparked something in me. I pulled a graded PSA 10 Iono’s Wattrel and I just had to have it shipped. That same day I went into my towns only card shop for the first time and I bought a pack of cards to rip. It felt so good having all these old emotions bringing me back to my childhood. Now I’m probably not gonna ever get back what lost in terms of monetary value but I am absolutely thrilled to have this old part of me feel alive again.
