i love this app a lot ! its rlly good for animating simple things and even Complicated things it allows for a lot of layers and theres even a basic tweening function with the make cycle thing. i wish there were better brush customization things + ability to move the windows around or something but i dont know how feasible that’d be. one thing i really wish there was was a brush cursor so i could see where im drawing lol (also would love a dark mode for this app, easier on the eyes)

This app is great, it allows custom brushes, has individual frames and layers that can be altered. With shortcuts that let you be even more productive with both hands. Amazing app! Some suggestions though, pls add a way to make perfect shapes like ellipses and rectangles. But even without that it is still a great app!

Just want to take a moment and express my satisfaction for this app. The name might have “rough” in it but this app isn’t just for animating your roughs, it also has the capability to create a finished polished animation because it has layers and coloring tools that are really powerful. I especially like the capability to loop the frames because it is tedious to do it manually. The only thing that I wish to be added here are brushes that look natural so I can create painterly-style animations.  But this is the best animation app to date for the iPad Pro. I would like to thank the developer/s for creating this app.

Additional comment: I love the new camera feature! More features has been added since I first used this app making it the most powerful 2d animation app for the iPad! Great work!

The App is really really good! I could animate with this for a while. But there’s a problem with the opacity. Well not the opacity from the layers but the opacity from the pen and eraser. It seem that it doesn’t work, no matter how many times I adjust it.

This app just keeps getting better and better with every update. Here's to hoping for an interface revamp in the future with a much more professional look and a smoother flowing interface. This app is the best. Would also like to recommend motion twinning and more adobe flash/animate-like features. Will willingly pay for it. Also, a much higher resolution. Thank you for your hard work developer. You make animators very happy :)

I can’t seem to export my animate file from my computer to my tablet. I downloaded the zxp file from the site but it won’t run on my animate cc. I really want to use it as soon as possible. I will definitely change my rating after i get it running and exported.

### ***** "I’ve been looking for an app like this for almost forever"
I was so hopeful to start animating quickly when I got an iPad, but unfortunately there weren’t too many choices. (Can I mention other animation apps in this review?) I tried Folioscope, but it was way, way too simplistic, and FlipAClip was good for practice, but the pen pressure was too clumsy, and the UI was cramped.

I jumped immediately into this app, Rough Animator, and it’s really going good so far. I like the simplicity of the design, and the pen pressure too. Plus it allows inserting pictures and audio (FlipAClip did too), and that’s always a big plus.
