It takes a while for the black screen to go away. When you open the save menu, the game barely registers your button inputs. You have to hit enter a million times for it to “save”. But the save doesn’t actually work. The game claims it has saved, but then when you reboot the game again, it says new game. And when you use the in game ‘quit’ it says it’s a fatal error instead I’m impressed the game ran at all, but it’s not really playable if the save doesn’t work.
