## ScreenZen Description
Multiple strategies to reduce your screentime

1. Delay before opening your app: A bit of time before choosing if you need to open your distracting app. You can have the wait time increase each time you open your app.

2. Interrupt your scrolling: Check your distracting apps for short periods of time so you don't get sucked in.

3. Set an app goal and optionally block when you reach your limit.

4. Configurable for different days of the week and time by app.

5. Messages like "Is this important" before opening your app.

6. See your screen time for only your distracting apps. Don't worry about Google Maps bloating up your time.

7. Strict block your apps: Either for time ranges, after a certain number of opens or ScreenTime. Strict blocked apps can be hidden from the home screen.

8. Locks on Settings to prevent you from changing your settings when you want to open an app.

9. Breathing and other activities to encourage you not to need to open the app while waiting for it to unlock.

10. Streaks to encourage you not to exceed your limits or override your settings.

This is what I have been looking for  for the past months apps like onesec need integration with shortcuts. This app fixes that. It is free at time of writing this review and would advise it to everyone that would like to reduce their screen time.

Great app. It’s free and does exactly what it should. 
Where Apple’s built in screen time feature is so easy to “ignore for today”, ScreenZen only allows you to open it for a set amount of mins each time.
The waiting period of 5 seconds before opening the app also really helps with awareness!

gebruik het nu een kleine week en mijn gemiddelde screentime is omlaag gegaan. heb uit mijzelf al ervoor gezorgd dat ik minder op mijn telefoon zat door bijvoorbeeld het beeld op grijs te zetten zodat ik minder dopamine krijg als ik op mijn telefoon zit. screenzen heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ik 2 keer kan nadenken wanneer ik op een app klik om zeker ervan te zijn dat het wel nodig was en niet uit impuls. 

voor mensen die hun scherm tijd willen verminderen is dit dus zeker een aanrader

Compared to other apps like opal that fully restrict access after a certain time, this one really works because it makes you wait some seconds every time you enter the app, and then it allows you to be on the app a set time.

It’s a good mental reminder to just be conscious of your use of certain apps. Avoid endlessly scrolling.

If you find yourself disabling it, or making a work around, what I did (in the app), was I locked the ability to uninstall apps, and I made sure the settings I had for each group or app were reasonable and good, then I got a trusted relative to create a password via the app for the app itself so I can’t change the settings or make a workaround without consulting my trusted relative and they will usually deny me that chance if it’s clear I’m desperate lol

I hope that made sense but it’s worked very well for me
