Accessible Reading for Visual Media
Vizling makes comics, maps, and other visual texts more accessible for blind, low-vision, and sighted users. Grounded in narrative theory, Vizling helps readers understand how meaning is built across an entire page (global structure), from panel to panel (narrative flow), and within each image (item composition).
With audio modes for both big-picture layout and close-up detail, Vizling supports meaningful engagement with multimodal media—whether for enjoyment, education, or research.
The Vizling app was developed at Wichita State University with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Vizling was one of the winners of the Accessible Comics Design Competition, sponsored by The Paul K. Longmore Institute on Disability in collaboration with Comic Studies and the Program in Visual Impairments at San Francisco State University.

Great pics and back up dive computer
Getting great pics and videos with my oceanic housing. No vacuum seal failures. It couldn’t get much better.
Easy to use
As a beginning diver wasn’t sure whether this app was equivalent to other dive computers. I like its ease of use and the monthly subscription option to turn on/off as needed.

Best Dive APP
Great app, synchronize perfect between my Apple Ultra2 and phone… 19 dive already! Perfect
Crashes
Used to work great, now just crashes after I paid the subscription
Logbook sync issues
Great app, but the logbook always shows either duplicates which it then removes, or doesn’t save my edits to the dive name or other items about the dive. Someone from the app team needs to accompany a diver on weeks worth of back to back dives with spotty Internet. Why does sync logbook with watch take forever sometimes? It gets stuck on syncing profile and just sits there for ages. Would be amazing if it just worked consistently. Stop testing it in ideal conditions with perfect Internet. Diving is usually off-grid. Maybe have an off-line mode and the option to sync with cloud?
Cheapest dive computer I’ve ever bought.
Really good functionality for the Ultra. Of course it’s not air integrated but it almost matched exactly with my dive console and the wrist display is excellent.
Oceanic
This app has come a long way been here since it came out to now!! Awesome!!!!
Third time since using the app that it doesn’t work during the dive
Just came from a dive with the oceanic App not working. I have it as the auto-launch and the app is also my action button. First dive worked fine but second dive it was stuck on “I am fit and ready to dive” screen. Pushing the action button didn’t help and I had to do the whole dive without a dive computer. This is the third time that oceanic app failed me this year. They should know it’s unacceptable as the life of a diver dependent very much on the computer. Problems always happen after S/W upgrade. The app should launch automatically without asking if I am fit and ready to dive. This is really stupid and no other dive computer I owned ever asked me to confirm I can dive after starting the dive. Very frustrating and unreliable.
