Oceanic app crashing on my Apple Ultra Watch

How to import data from another Apple Watch Ultra to my Apple Watch Ultra

I used my friend’s Apple Watch Ultra and the Oceanic plus app as a dive computer last year. I did not have my own dive computer then. I now have my own apple watch ultra and have installed your oceanic plus app. I would like to import the dive data from my friends watch/ app to my account. I have the UDDF file of the dives … how do I import the data ?

Media editing bug

The option to upload, edit/ color correct and save media worked much better on the older version of the app.. I have a paid subscription and used to use the feature which no longer works.

Usable

Works on the watch just fine but the iPhone software is very buggy. I’ve purchased a subscription but it contacts flashing between free and paid. This doesn’t affect features fortunately. The heatmap is hardly usable as it always starts showing my location in Gabon and then in a while updates to actual location in Maldives. There is no way to manually center the map at my location.

Fun with oceanic

I quite enjoyed using the oceanic app for my recent recreational dive trip to Maldives. It’s very user-friendly and made the dive experience much smoother than all my previous dive computers. I am definitely sticking with the oceanic app for all my future dives in the foreseeable future.

Locked in Snorkelling mode

I accidentally dived in freediving mode because my watch wasn’t synced. Which in turn locked scuba mode for 24 hours. Now imagine this happens on your first dive during a three day diving trip. You’ll be forced to keep diving in snorkelling mode for all the days because the time difference between the last dive and your first dive the next day will never be 24 hours. A vicious circle you’ll be trapped in for your entire trip, not being able to use the dive software at all. Absolutely useless and frankly will be investing in a proper dive watch instead of the WAY more expensive ultra, going forward.

Absolutely rubbish…

The app is absolutely rubbish. The sync does not work. The app crashes and the phone hangs. Lost all my dive data when syncing. Feels like completely cheated by the app developers. Paid money to these guys to get this kind of service. Unfortunately the fault is also apple to allow only oceanic to use the Apple Watch as dive computer and the oceanic guys are just milking their monopoly to provide an extremely substandard service. Pls use a proper dive computer along as it’s not trustworthy
