SEEK demands too much verification and too much information, and it’s just unethical. The marketing they use sends entitled messages as a third party to the recruitment process and they ought to do better. I really dislike that you cannot withdraw interest or withdraw a job application. Seek puts all the power with companies and none with the people who do the labour. People should be able to rate, name, and shame companies for their hiring and firing behaviour. But using the app, I can only filter to exact location only. We all work to be able to afford a mortgage etc. why waste our time hiding this until interview stage potentially wasting interviewer and applicants’ time?
